U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland In Moscow To Discuss Ukraine

RFE: U.S. Diplomat In Moscow For Ukraine Talks

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland has discussed the implementation of the Minsk cease-fire agreement for eastern Ukraine with Russian officials.

"We want to see Minsk implemented as soon as possible, and we think that it is now time to really step on the gas and see this implemented," Nuland told reporters in Moscow on May 18 after talks with Russian presidential adviser Vladislav Surkov.

"As our president has said, if and when Minsk is fully implemented, sanctions can be rolled back," she added.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the talks as a "brief exchange of opinions."

Did she bring cookies??? Hopefully, she won't make the same mistake on Putin as she did to the EU... Great sound bites regarding the EU. Don't these people ever get fired for screwing up!!!!

Actually f!ck the EU is not such a bad idea. Tbe EU is pretty much a doomed entity anyway.

Once BREXIT passes, the UK leaves the EU. Even in the unlikely event Britons vote 100% to remain in the EU or if any majority of Britons vote to stay in the EU the leaders of BREXIT are simply to powerful and will simply override the will of the people by any means neccesary. Bottom line BREXIT is reality and cannot be prevented. Any attempt to do so is a waste of time and resources.

For what it's worth, BREXIT is actually probably the best bet for the UK. Essentially they want to f!ck the EU. The EU has generally lorded over the United States being very abusive, cruel, and unfair to the United States essentially robbing it and trying to harm it in any and all ways possible for many decades. If Ms. Nuland really wants to f!ck the EU, this would be a good sign.

Perhaps the UK, Russia, and thd USA can all f!ck the EU together. Hopefully Ms. Nuland was in Russia to discuss ways we can all confront a joint enemy. Unfortunately she's probably not that smart. I haven't seen a visible change in policy on the part of America on the part of Ukraine toward the Russian position.

Then again the Rusdians allowed Ms. Nuland into Russia without simply executing her. Given how easy that would be to do and would have virtually no costs along with huge benefits, I'm surprised they didn't. Maybe progress is being made.
