Zero Hedge: Does Bilderberg Really Run The World? One Chart To Help You Decide
With the Bilderberg 2016 meeting now humming along at the Taschenbergpalais hotel in Dresden, deep behind closed doors and protected by heavily-armed guards, many have wondered: just how hyperbolic are allegations that the Bilderbergs run the world.
To help readers decide, here is a chart laying out the linkages and various connections - financial, political, statutory and otherwise - between the handful of people who comprise the Bilderberg core and the rest of the world.

WNU Editor: My experience with large institutions .... both government and industry .... is that they are fat, slow, ugly, soft, and usually very dumb. But because of their size and resources coupled with being in a position to influence and dictate government policy .... they survive and grow. So as to the question .... do they run the world? The answer is no. But they sure have a lot of power to influence a lot of decisions that impact you and I on a regular basis.
As to who runs the world .... the question that should be asked is .... who in the future will be running the world. And the answer to that is usually found in some guy or gal's garage or office with a great idea or a new tech that will change the world .... usually 10 years after being discovered and implemented.

I personally don't think that anyone is in control, that is the problem. The so called leadership seem to go from crisis to crisis without a clue and seem to get carried away by events of the day. Bilderberg, Davos the G7-20 commit to policies in one year then do something different the next. Most successful people will tell you make a plan and stick to it until you achieve your goal, those clowns can't stick to anything and it just gets worse. If Bilderberg, Davos and the G7-20 were serious they would set a plan and not have another meet and greet for 5 years and then access the progress. The old saying, "too many cooks spoil the broth".
WNU,
I think your WNU Editor comment pretty much nails it. This has been my experience as well. There's very little I could add, however, very respectfully I would add that the organizations you mention also have a certain amount of ideological blindness guiding them along with an unhealthy tendency to overestimate their own abilities while underestimating those of adversaries or potential adversaries.
In contrast to the government and industry officials who are at this meeting who are "fat, slow, ugly soft, and usually very dumb," in contrast, the government and industry leaders in nations such as Russia and China are lean, fast, beautiful (at least as presented to the media), hard, and very, very smart. As such, if anyone were serious about charting a so called course for the world, it would seem experiential common sense to invite someone like Vladimir Putin and his inner circle to the meeting.
As for the beautiful part, this is what is presented to the media. It is debatable as to whether or not this is actually the case. As to lean fast, hard, and very, very smart, this would describe Russian and Chinese government and leadership, especially Russian leadership quite well. It would also describe a crocodile quite well too but probably very few would say this is a beautiful animal especially when he has you for dinner or quick and tasty snack!! Oh well, I'm getting off topic.
When we pit fat, slow, ugly, soft, and very dumb against lean, fast, beautiful (as presented to the media and disseminated by such, and very smart, whose going to win? The smart money would probably be on lean, fast, beautiful, and very smart UNLESS fat, slow, ugly, soft, and very dumb simply has to many resources at their disposal to outlast lean, fast, beautiful, and very smart.
To use an analogy it was once said that 100 malnourished farmers could fight off one healthy hunter gatherer in the early days of civilization. As such, if fat, slow, ugly, soft, and very dumb has a large enough edge in resources perhaps it can outlast lean, fast, beautiful, hard, and very smart. To carry this analogy to the second decade in the 21st century, fat, slow, ugly, soft, and very dumb would represent the US and "western" governments along with their various industries. These countries, especially America, are deeply in debt, it's military would be hard pressed to defend the mainland much less keep the current ridiculous commitments it currently has, the infrastructure is crumbling, training for its armed forces and its military equipment is substandard, morale for the fighting forces is extremely poor, the public education system is poor, medical care is poor, and I could go on.
As such, I see no way for fat, slow, ugly, soft, and very dumb to outlast lean, fast, beautiful, hard and very smart based upon resources available especially when, in the case of Russia, it is sitting on one of the world's largest oil reserves and has the most advanced nuclear arsenal in the world combined with highly motivated and capable armed forces along with advanced cyber warfare capabilities.
As for "beautiful" and "ugly" the Russians are the world's best at using the news media to get their message out. In contrast, America and the "west" especially America are generally quite poor at this. As such, to reiterate, this part could be debatable.
At the very least, if fat, slow, soft, ugly, and very dumb goes up against lean, fast, hard, beautiful (as perceived), and very smart, they are going to get hurt VERY< VERY badly. As such, it seems hardly worth the risk in most circumstances. If one were serious about charting some kind of world governance or world planning, it would seem prudent to invite lean, fast, hard, beautiful, and very smart as represented by Russia and China to prominent positions within the meeting. Failure to do so would seem to ensure failure of such a goal.
If you admit that big lobby like Bilderberd have a lot of power to influence decisions of government that impact everyone on a daily basis (like TTIP), that means we are in a very weak democracy.
They may are slow, fat, ugly and soft and represent a putrid world in decline, but they adapt their strategy to this form, advancing like an elephant in a long time vision.
The hubris of all that power can blind them, leading to underestimate their adversaries and the change in the world, but that rich scum are ready to sacrifice all in order to survive himself.
What a world
You will need the WWW to rule eneything
You can start with that
