Washington Post: Trump urges Russia to hack Clinton’s emails
PHILADELPHIA — Democrats prepared to use their convention Wednesday night to raise fresh doubts about Donald Trump’s fitness to serve as commander in chief, as the Republican presidential candidate called on Russia to hack into Hillary Clinton’s email server to find “missing” messages and release them to the public.
“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing. I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press,” Trump said during a news conference at his South Florida resort on Wednesday.
“They probably have them. I’d like to have them released. It gives me no pause, if they have them, they have them,” Trump added later when asked if his comments were inappropriate. “If Russia or China or any other country has those emails, I mean, to be honest with you, I’d love to see them.”

WNU Editor: When I heard Donald trump say that .... and the immediate main-stream media reaction and melt-down from it .... I just died laughing. The crocodile tears and the outrage from the main stream media on Donald Trump's remarks asking Russia to find Hillary Clinton's emails is hilarious .... especially in view of the fact that many of these same reporters had a different point of view when Sarah Palin's email account was hacked in 2008 .... Sarah Palin email hack (Wikipedia) .... I just cannot make this stuff up.
Update: This news story is now #1. No coverage on President Bill Clinton's speech yesterday. No coverage on the Democrat convention. And complete coverage on the email scandal that Hillary Clinton wants to disappear. And he has done this with no support from the media.

Scott Adams (of the Master Persuader Hypothesis: basically the idea that all the oh so crazy things Trump says are engineered to give him a crude and seemingly counterintuitive advantage in terms of attention and subconscious influence) would say this was exactly the point.
Daniel .... Scott Adams is right.
asking a foreign nation...esp Russia!..to hack into American servers so as to gain a political advantage strikes me as treasonable.
that said: where are the tax returns. The IRS says they can be shown despite audit. And there is an indication from Romney of mob ties in his casinos. it is also clear that the name "Trump" appears some 3 thousand times in the Panama Papers.
LOL I did the same thing Fred. I typed Trump in the Panama papers .... and found out rather quickly that there are a lot of Trumps in the world.
Brilliant move by Trump, he may get another bump in the polls after the DNC is over...
The entertainment value of this story is worth it's weight in gold...the media flopping around on the deck like a fish out of water...priceless.
The treason was arrogantly setting up an unsecured server to try to circumvent a myriad of laws. All Trump did was ask for what has already been taken back for public inspection. It was only removed due to her criminal negligence.
By responding to Mr. Trump, Mrs. Clinton's supporters keep the attention on what they hope people forget. I am no fan of Mr. Trump, but this looks like a brilliant move.
Fred Lipides: Where are Hillary's health records? She seems ill. The IRS obviously thinks Trump's returns are OK, or he'd have some sort of outstanding tax bill. But all we know about Hillary's health is some doctor's note that basically says: "She's fine." I don't believe it.
