New York Times: Khizr Khan, Father of Fallen Muslim American Soldier, Rebukes Trump at Convention
Khizr Khan lost his son, Capt. Humayun Khan of the Army, to the war in Iraq more than a decade ago.
On Thursday night, he shared his grief, and the story of his son’s sacrifice, at the Democratic National Convention in an emotional rebuke of Donald J. Trump’s immigration proposals and his ideas on religious tolerance.
It was a moment that for many of the thousands of people at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia — and the millions more watching it elsewhere — was the night’s most memorable, and dramatic.
“Donald Trump, you’re asking Americans to trust you with their future,” said Mr. Khan, a Muslim who immigrated from the United Arab Emirates when his son was 2. “Let me ask you, have you even read the United States Constitution?”
Then, to cheers, he pulled out a pocket edition.
“I will gladly lend you my copy,” he said.

Update: The father of Muslim soldier killed in action just delivered a brutal repudiation of Donald Trump (Washington Post)
WNU Editor: I would say that this was probably the most effective case made against Donald Trump at the DNC. It worked on several levels .... including the fact that Capt. Humayun Khan is about the same age as some of Trump's children. And while it does not negate the dangers of having immigrants come from war torn countries .... it does negate the argument that they are all a threat.

A very brave young man lost, for what being a hero in a war that shouldn't have happened? And yet Trump is talking about avoiding being draw into unnecessary wars. It was Bush's war, Hillary supported it and young men are still dying for it and it is doubtful that she will put an end to it.
Trump can respond easily but intelligently?
Nope, Trump was for the war before he was against it.

And der Furour is too busy today attacking Bloomberg on twitter.
Exactly Bob .... the big plus going for Donald Trump is that no one can blame him for the wars and chaos that is now unfolding. Same for the fact that over 70% believe the country has been going down the wrong direction in the past few years .... there are no Donald Trump fingerprints on this one.
This doesn't change the fact that whenever there's a terror attack...instead of widespread and public protests by muslims (not talking heads on tv but public demonstrations) to condemn these atrocities...there is silence

Muslim protests against terrorism are not convenient for the MSM meme, so they are rarely reported.
The fact that 99% of those killed by Islamic terrorism are Muslim, is also not convenient to the narrative, as so is rarely reported.

And of course, statement's like yours, are exactly the type of assistance ISIS wants from the West.
If such protests were really as common as claimed, not even the MSM could hide it. Such protests should be massive and widespread, on the scale of black lives matter...Events like in San Bernadino are deeply disturbing, especially the fact that none of the killer's acquaintances came forward ahead of time...after Cologne, Normandy, Paris, Brussels, Munich, Orlando, etc. etc...simply calling Trump names like "der furor" is not enough to refute his positions...
Jay I hope you are enjoying the pride weekend.
Let's not forget the Boston bomber, whose family were muslim immigrants receiving welfare and Medicaid. The notion that maybe the United States should be more careful who they let in is perfectly reasonable and sensible
Why are we talking about protest, we are dealing with the nazis of the Islamic world and the best they can muster up is a protest! Sorry but the Islamic worlds response to ISIS has been absolutely pathetic, the only Muslims flooding into the battle are there to join and fight with ISIS and they represents countries from all over the world including the U.S..
"Not long after the Charlie Hebdo attack of 2015, Daesh published an essay in its magazine Dabiq titled “The Extinction of the Gray Zone.” The same issue contained graphic photos of the gruesome execution of Jordanian fighter pilot Lt. Muath Al Kasasbeh, a Muslim who recently completed the Hajj before his plane went down in Syria.
The “Gray Zone” is the group’s name for any place where there is pluralism and multiculturalism. For Daesh’s apocalyptic ideology, a pluralistic and inclusive society is repulsive and must be destroyed. To further that goal, the group seeks to widen the differences which exist, by definition, in a pluralistic community.
In other words, it’s a wedge strategy. And once the Islamic State can drive enough of a wedge between Muslims and non-Muslims, it can more easily radicalize and recruit."
Keep on working hard for ISIS, they appreciate more than guns, money or fighters.
Keep working hard for ISIS.

Good one does your libral arts professor know your fiddling during your social justice class
The SAA isn't fighting for their religion they are fighting for their country. Now to be fair there are plenty of Iraqi, Iranian, and Lebanese who are fighting along side the SAA that would tell you that they are fighting for their religion or some sacred shrine that they are willing to die for. But when you look at the Islamic world as a whole they could care less about defeating ISIS, maybe if they are on the verge of losing their land and home they may put up a fight but they know that no one (except maybe the Kurds) has their backs...quite pathetic.
As for the U.S. being complicit with ISIS...You got me there.

It's a pretty simple interactive tool.
I don't know about the Islamic world as a whole is. Is is anything like a Christian world as a whole? Will they will care more when NATO bombs their houses or something? After all God is always on their side too.
Father, it is not be easy losing your son, however you now allow yourself to be used as a puppet by the controlled media and the Democratic Party, for propaganda purposes, against a man who is not your enemy. Mourn your loss, but know the memory of your son is not honored by you speaking out to benefit the Democratic party, who are are the enemies of mankind, who are creating a police state who will destroy the USA when they are able, just as they have destroyed Iraq,Syria, Lybia, etc. Stop being a fool.
"The so-called Islamic State, widely known as ISIS, seeks not to spark a World War, but to ignite a World Civil War.
This book on jihadist war theory first appeared online around 2004 and was attributed to an ideologue who goes by the nom de guerre Abu Bakr al-Naji. Naji instructed followers to incite ethnic, sectarian, and religious hatred throughout the world so that societies end up dividing along mutual mistrust and a desire for revenge. Naji’s hope was that Sunni Muslims would then largely be blamed—as they now are—as the cause of this intolerance and violence, rendering them hated and left isolated. Naji even highlights the importance of provoking heavy state military responses against Sunni Muslims everywhere, so that entire populations of Sunnis feel suspected and attacked by everyone else around them, and turn in on themselves. The idea is that through such division Sunnis would find no refuge from angry non-Muslims and over-reacting states, except in jihadists who would embrace them. In turn, Sunnis would end up swelling the ranks of jihadists’ militias as they began to protect themselves against reprisal attacks."

Keep doing ISIS's work for them.
Uh, you do realize you just said basically the same thing that Jay just said right? Did you even read his comment?
The "Islamic world as a whole" that I speak is the one that finds a man from Pakistan (not actually) that gives flying f### about what's happening in the West Bank but could care less about what's happening in Iraq...
I keep hearing that ISIS are not Muslims or is it that they don't represent Islam. I tell you what if there was a branch Hindis that was rampaging through the Middle East destroying everything in its path you would quickly see a lot of unity and commitment to stop such a threat from this "Islamic world" ...but, since it's "in the family" we will be in for more of the same I guess.
Where's the unity in the "Islamic world" over Palestine? Yemen? Where was it over Libya? Iraq? Where is the "Muslim world" against Israeli zionism? Getting medical care in the Golan?
Muslims that are killing muslims are being sponsored by muslims (and their buddies in "the west"). If there is a "Muslim world" it is as fractured and full of contradictory interests/influences as the larger world of humanity it exists in.
I don't think that reading and comprehension is his strong suit.
A) he never noticed my comment was a quote from and article,
B) in his response, he tried to "condemn" me, based on the article quote, for what he has been doing through out this thread.
These 14 are the exception not the rule.
