On the one hand, this bodes well for Hiliary as most polls indicate she's ahead right now and the polls could remain essentially frozen during this time. On the other hand, this gives Mr. Trump an opportunity to get his mouth under control. He should use it well.
Election day is 11-8. This is an eternity in politics. The olympics would seem to be an advantage to team Trump as it gives them an opportinity to get their campaign together and for Mr. Trump to learn how to control his mouth and his ego.
On a side note and as I understand it, cdrtain Russian athletes were banned from participation, something about "cheating" and "doping." ALL world class athletes do this. Which idiot chose to single out the Russians on this and why? What a golden opportunity the US government missed to lobby on behalf of these people. It was missed. While a small thing, such actions might have helped us to gain rapport and favor with the Russian government. The number of unforced errors on the part of the US government here is breathtaking.
I expect only good things from these Olympics. Brotherhood and world peace always follow the games. Look what it did for Sarajevo.
