Bloomberg: Putin Hopeful Russia-U.S. Ties Can Be Restored After Elections
* Putin says no plan to influence U.S. presidential voting

Russia hopes its ties with the U.S. can be restored after elections regardless of who wins, according to President Vladimir Putin.
While Democrat Hillary Clinton so far is aggressive toward Russia and Republican Donald Trump wants cooperation, the Kremlin is not ruling out the possibility that the candidates’ positions will change when one of them becomes the U.S. president, Putin told reporters on Sunday. He spoke after meeting with leaders of Brazil, China, India and South Africa at a summit in the Indian state of Goa.

WNU Editor: I just do not see any warming in relations for a long time. Ukraine is still simmering (and will for the foreseeable future), and Syria has put a monkey-wrench on any hope for a reconciliation. On a side note .... according to Wikileaks .... Hillary Clinton has been praising Putin (at least in 2013) .... Leaked Emails Show Clinton Praised Putin, Sought ‘Positive Relationship’ (Washington Free Beacon).

It wasn't Putin, BushII, Obama or Sec. State Clinton who trashed the US/Russian relationship.
Sadly, "purges" arn't the US political style. Instead incompetence is rewarded.
