North Korean leader Kim Jong-un toured a special operations military unit that was set up to eliminate key South Korean government and military figures, Pyongyang's state media said Friday.
Kim visited the battalion under the Korean People's Army (KPA) Unit 525, praising the troops for displaying their readiness for action during drills, according to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
The KCNA said the North's leader attaches special importance to the military unit with members trained to wipe out those who hold important posts at South Korea's presidential office Cheong Wa Dae, the government and the military.
