Reuters: Ex-CIA chief says Trump risks blame for an attack if he skips briefings
Former CIA director Leon Panetta said on Wednesday that President-elect Donald Trump risked being blamed after any potential attack on the United States if he refused to receive more regular intelligence briefings.
U.S. officials told Reuters that Trump is receiving an average of one presidential intelligence briefing a week - far fewer than most of his recent predecessors - but that his deputy Mike Pence gets briefings around six days a week.
Panetta, a former Democratic Congressman who served as CIA director and defense secretary in President Barack Obama's first term, told the Arab Strategy Forum, a conference sponsored by the government of Dubai, that Trump's aversion "can't last."

WNU Editor: President Obama is piling on .... Obama: President Without Briefings Would Be 'Flying Blind' (AP). President-Elect Trump is not the President yet .... so he does have some leeway. But when he is President .... skipping out on his briefings is something that I would not advise.

My favorite part is the articles failure to mention that Leon Panetta is a longtime Clintonite culminating in him serving as Chief of Staff. I'm sure he doesn't have an axe to grind.
For myself I don't pay attention on all these things, because no matter what Trump do or say, he will be always wrong.
We found out in 2012 Obama skipped many meetings.

Then the Washington POST engaged in DNC CYA by saying that while he did not attend the meeting , he read the briefs.
Of course we have Obama's word on that.
IMO if Pence went to the daily meetings and Trump only attended them weekly that would be okay.
As the Chinese say "Strong Country, Strong Defense".
Trump just has to do the opposite of Obama. Trump has to strengthen the economy. Defense will follow.
