Maybe it was just a time issue, but I noticed that the RT piece was the only russian source given. By the way the chickens in the RT video seemed quite unconcerned with the whole thing.

ISIS leader is not exactly a career path that holds much of a future. Between the Russians, the Syrians, the Iranians, and the Americans targeting them such a position all but ensures a short life with an ignoble end.

It wasn't always this way. When ISIS first arose, it's forces captured and held territory faster and more efficiently than the American military ever could have. There nain mistakes were 1.)they failed to adjust and begin behaving as a normal nation state and 2.)they expanded the fight beyond being against America and it's "allies." This caused them to lose support that was otherwise reliable.

Why are they fighting Russia? The Russian armed forces have always been better led, better trained, more ruthless, and generally far more capable than anything America can ever hope to have. Apparently in their arrogance ISIS never grasped that there are other powers who are far more formidable than America or American "allies."
