President Obama Orders Intelligence Review On Russian Election Hacking

Politico: Obama orders 'full review' of election-related hacking

President-elect Donald Trump has repeatedly rejected the intelligence community’s conclusion about the election-related cyberattacks.

President Barack Obama has ordered a "full review" before he leaves office of the cyberattacks that plagued this year’s presidential election, a top White House official said Friday.

The announcement by Lisa Monaco, Obama’s counterterrorism and homeland security adviser, follows repeated demands from congressional Democrats for more information about the digital assault that the Obama administration has blamed on Russia.

Would Obama order this "full review" if H. Clinton was elected? Democrat cannot accept to be defeated by a "non professional politic candidate". They would be better off to analyze why they lost.

"They would be better off to analyze why they lost." Some just cannot do things like this. Unless they adjust they haven't seen anything yet. If they continue on the same path, they haven't seen anything yet. The losses they suffered in the last presidential election and in the House and Senate are just the tip of the iceberg for how bad it is going to get for them.

Slow down, cowboy: if in fact a foreign nation meddles in our election we need to know. Even the GOP noted this. Dumping on Democrats is not helpful.

Fred,

So far no evidence has been presented on this. Given the massive failures in the past of US "Intelligence", it would be unwise in the extreme to simply "take their word for it."

To blame a major foreign power for one's own incompetence without any evidence, is reckless in the extreme. Anyone behaving in such a manner is either psychotic or very, very stupid. In any event, such people cannot be trusted with power.

If a foreign power were to intervene in US elections, I'm pretty sure HRC would have been the preferred candidate. I'm pretty sure everyone of importance among foreign powers hacked her private server and has all of the emails that are supposedly deleted. This would probably make her much easier to manipulate than DJT.

No one is "dumping on Democrats/" We are pointing out that is vitally important for them and anyone to learn from one's mistakes. Humans can and will make mistakes. In business if we do not learn from our mistakes we will be out of business. As to being "helpful," it would behoove them to analyze why they lost as opposed to blaming others.

As pointed out, if they don't, they haven't seen anything yet. There losses in this election cycle will be minor compared to the massive losses they are going to suffer in the future. That will not be helpful for the country to have only one political party. Those who accept constructive critique are wise. Those who do not, well they can go down the tubes.

Of course the Democrats have another option. Oftentimes thugs, if they can't have something, will destroy the very thing they wanted to possess and control so that others can't have it. I certainly hope and pray the Democrats do not pursue such a course. Unfortunately it seems there are some on the Democrat side who seem perfectly willing to pursue such courses of action.

I'm not trying to be ugly here. Frankly with a little bit of circumspection and a frank analysis of why they lost the current crop of Republicans very likely would not be very difficult to beat.

Fred has a point, though it has to be noted that the Democrats are the ones pushing this issue. There has been many accusations, but no credible evidence (that I know of) has been presented. It also must be said that the Russians would be derelict in "their" duty not to have investigated the possibility of doing this. Finally, it has to be asked whether or not Russia could benefit enough from doing this to outweigh the obvious downside to them if they were caught? My answer to this question (which is a guess) is no, but that is purely opinion on my part. Perhaps they did make that mistake, after all regardless of all that's said about them they are human.

"
The CIA has concluded in a secret assessment that Russia intervened in the 2016 election to help Donald Trump win the presidency, rather than just to undermine confidence in the U.S. electoral system, according to officials briefed on the matter."

Accusations.

The Democrats were pushing the Russian angle weeks if not months before the actual election.

Their internal polling showed that they were in trouble.

Obama actually thought that the Russians were coming? He said they might. He put cyber command on alert.

Now we have no news report form Obama on what Cyber command saw or did not see.

We just have some academics.

The Republican grassroots have been apprehensive about electronic voting booths since a Spanish company with ties to Soros has a stake in American elections.

It has been 4 years and so long as Democrats were wining they did not fracking care. Democrats lose off year elections, chalk it up to turnout, and smile thinking that their opponents are demographically doomed.

4 years and Obama did nothing. Obama is the least competent person in any room he steps into.
