Politico: Dutch aim to stop military and financial aid to Ukraine
Mark Rutte’s government reacts to rejection of Ukraine deal by the people.
Ukraine will not get financial or military support from the EU, according to a proposal that the Dutch government wants to discuss with EU leaders at a summit on Thursday.
The proposed agreement “reaffirms cooperation with Ukraine in the fields of security” but “it does not contain an obligation for the Union or its member states to provide collective security guarantees or other military aid or assistance to Ukraine,” says the draft of the declaration, a copy of which was obtained by POLITICO.

The Dutch were always more reserved against eastern europeans , sometimes in a xenophobic whay.
Perhaps it is time for a "Dutch Exit." As I've stated, continue behaving in this way and the EU hasn't seen anything yet. BREXIT is jus the tip of the iceberg.
This should be the US position as well and should have been from the start. It should be made abundantly clear that Ukraine will NEVER join NATO nor will it EVER be a member of the EU and if it is admitted to one or both of these organizations especially NATO the US will withdraw from NATO immediately and without delay/
Of course EU behavior will not be affected by anything America does but I think it would send a powerful message to the Russians of respect and concern for their interests and may help defuse tensions between us and them. This issue is much more serious for us than it is for EU nations as it will be America who will bear the brunt of a Russian military reprisal, not the EU nations.
If Ukraine joins the EU, an entity that is largely hostile to the United States and its interests gains a new member. If Ukraine joins NATO, the US gets another military defense commitment it cannot keep. At a time when the US military would be hard pressed to defend the American mainland against even a mid power, it is unwise in the extreme to even be considering taking on additional commitments.
The US gains NOTHING from support of Ukraine, risks much loss by supporting it, has much potential gain by withdrawing support, and loses NOTHING by withdrawing support from Ukraine. When faced with such a situation, the choice seems a no brainer.
