Your biggest worry is spot on. Businesses and households understand the pitfalls of such thing. At this pount, governments generally don't.

Americans elected a person with a business background to lead them as POTUS. As such, Americans expect an adjustment in this area and expect much pain while this is fixed and in the long run America will prosper like never before.

Can other nations make the necessary corrections? While it may not be their fault, it is their problem.
