Reuters: China will 'take off the gloves' if Trump continues on Taiwan, state media warns
China will "take off the gloves" and take strong action if U.S. President-elect Donald Trump continues to provoke Beijing over Taiwan once he assumes office, two leading state-run newspapers said on Monday.
In an interview with the Wall Street Journal published on Friday, Trump said the "One China" policy was up for negotiation. China's foreign ministry, in response, said "One China" was the foundation of China-U.S. ties and was non-negotiable.
Trump broke with decades of precedent last month by taking a congratulatory telephone call from Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen, angering Beijing which sees Taiwan as part of China.

I hope he doesn't budge... America should not be bullied in who it can or cannot conduct negotiations with along with recognizing their status as an independent country.
I would like to point out that the Mitochondrial Eve theory (Out of Africa a 100,000 YA) was dealt a seriously blow when they found whorls in the skulls of bones in archeological digs in China.
Exactly, Trump should say "really? Not up for negotiation? ?,uummmmm ok "Consider it CANCELLED"!!
Look... Taiwan is a difficult case. .. they want to be independenthe for now. .but over time, with about 1.5bn Chinese - some of which are sent there to slowly replace/outpopulate key opposition (similar to hong Kong, but will take longer as no direct/fast influence possible) and then suddenly they'll vote to be part of China. .we all know this will happen. .it's a population game and Europe and USA conmbined don't have the people needed to spread the same way China spreads. ..
