Drudge Report Is Down

WNU Editor: I use about 100 sources for this blog. News websites. News aggregators. Blogs. Official government/military websites. Etc.. The Drudge Report is one of them. In the past few days he has been complaining that he was experiencing multiple cyber attacks on his server .... and (he made this prediction only recently) that this was probably going to be the new normal. Well .... his website is now down (as of 21:15 EST) .... the second time in a week.

Is this the new normal .... unfortunately .... Matt Drudge is probably right. My main beef with the main stream media is not that they cover the news .... it is that they are selective on what they cover. Websites like the Drudge Report provide an alternative news source for the right .... just like The Daily Kos and others do for the left .... and both are very good at "pissing-off" the other side. Over the years I enjoyed reading both sides .... and I have never hesitated in putting their links on this blog. But we are entering a new age right now .... and the surprise victory of Donald Trump has certainly upset a lot of people .... I would say even more so than the 2000 election victory of George Bush. And since the Drudge Report was an early supporter of Donald Trump .... an obvious target.

This is going to get worse.

Update 21:25 EST: Drudge was back on line for about a minute, and it is now offline. This definitely looks like a DDoS attack.
