Remembering When The Main Stream Media Called Donald Trump's 'Running For President Announcement' As A Joke
WNU Editor: The above video is from News Busters .... Flashback: Journalists Mocked Trump’s Announcement as a Joke (NewsBusters).
What's my take on the entire thing .... the joke is on the news media. Instead of asking the hard questions .... tax returns, conflict of interests, his policy objectives and how he will implement them, the people he will surround himself with if he should become President, his war policy, etc. .... the media focused on Donald Trump as being a joke, irrelevant, or worse. They doubled down when he won the Republican nomination .... continuing the narrative that he could not be elected .... and that Hillary Clinton was going to win in a landslide. Even convincing Hillary Clinton and her staff that they were easily going to win .... hence explaining why she did not even bother to campaign in states like Wisconsin. If the media focused on the news .... instead of pursuing their own agenda and biases .... there is a part of me that does wonder if Donald Trump would be the U.S. President tomorrow. But .... when it comes down to it .... this is all moot. He will be the 45th President of the United States tomorrow .... and the next 4 years are going to be a tumultuous time .... for better or for worse. As for the media .... their fake news, fake polls, and fake commentary .... what little trust I had for them is now gone.

Pride goeth before a fall
It is a joke, come true, due to people's lack of depth and critical thinking, James Comey, Russian interference and A weak Democratic candidate!
"....and the next four years are going to be a tumultuous time...." So you think when he wins reelection the media is going to give up?
That is if he wins reelection, allot of this, for better worse, will be decided by factors outside of his control, as the power of POTUS is quite limited. His may well be even more limited than most as he has no support among the Democrats and his support among Republican leaders is tepid at best. Then again the media has shattered their credibility while covering him so he may have a freer hand to do as he pleases increasing his power. If he can implement his policies, the economy likely improves and national security likely improves. This would likely result in more support among Republican leaders wishing to latch onto him for reelection which would increase his power. There are many unknowns right now. Of course as it seems right now the Democrats will likely never support him and will do everything they can to thwart him. If there successful at thwarting him, then he likely does not win reelection.
So very respectfully I think your statement is more accurate if it reads "...the next four to eight years are going to be a tumultuous time...." I don't really expect the Democrats to just give up if he wins reelection so, if he does and he could, the next eight years may be tumultuous unless America is really successful and Republicans gain more seats in the House and Senate in 2018, in which case only the next four years would be tumultuous.
