Newsweek: Donald Trump: "No Computer Is Safe" so Send Information by Courier
Cybersecurity concerns have led U.S. President-elect Donald Trump to proclaim “no computer is safe” and call for important messages to be delivered by courier rather than email.
Trump’s remarks, made to reporters at a New Year’s Eve party at the Mar-a-Lago club in Florida, come amid claims from U.S. intelligence agencies that Russian hackers intervened in the 2016 presidential election to help the Republican candidate win the White House. On December 29, President Barack Obama ordered 35 Russian diplomats to leave the country and imposed sanctions on Russian intelligence agencies.
“If you have something really important, write it out and have it delivered by courier, the old-fashioned way,” Trump said. “I’ll tell you what: No computer is safe. I don’t care what they say.”

Even Russian President Putin does not use a cell phone, and he avoids the internet .... Which phones do world leaders use? (The Guardian). Hmmmm .... this mode of communications may not be efficient, but I think Trump and Putin are onto something.

In any case the script is already written: no matter what Trump says or does it will be always wrong.
For the US, establishing and maintaining secure networks isn't that difficult.
The "weak" point in the networks is Humans, being sloppy, leaking or lazy, or trying to "work around" the system.
It's the same with Paper systems.

NSA has the best hackers, crackers and runs the largest most intrusive surveillance networks in the world.
They also help creat the ever evolving US secure communications and network systems.
Back in the day, when I worked in the Tech Sector, we had great IT, almost impenatrable firewalls, and password protocols that were a nightmare, ( 16 characters, 9 had to be numbers, two punctuation, changed every 4 months, never the same ).
If you wanted to know your cubicle neighbor's password, 90% of the time, flip their keyboard over and read it off the yellow post-it.
One day, I was one of the first ones in, logged in, opened my email, and saw an unsolicited email titled "Anna Kornakova Naked!". I trashed it. A few minutes later, it popped up again, but from a coworker. With in an hour, there were over 1,000 copies in my inbox. It was a very nasty, self replicating worm, and for 2 days IT fought a vicious battle against the worm, because sadly, despite it being a Tech Company, too many people were "stupid" about security.
Despite e-mail being over 40 years old, "moron's" still send private rants and naked selfies on Corporate Networks by hitting "send all".
