VOA: Syrian Rebels Say They Support Upcoming Peace Talks in Kazakhstan

Syrian rebel negotiators announced Saturday their support of Russia-Turkey brokered talks aimed at finding a political solution to the nearly six-year-long conflict in Syria, but they say a planned meeting this month in Kazakhstan should be seen only as a first step toward the resumption of the long-stalled U.N.-backed Geneva peace process.

The Syrian opposition's High Negotiations Committee, which has been shut out of the Russian-Turkish talks process, said in a statement that it backed a military delegation, which will attend the meeting in the Kazakh capital of Astana.

The key news of the above list is the battle of Deir-er-zor. IS launched dozens of offensives in the past, but this time they penetrated the defensive lines deep, and actually cut the remained SAA areas into two, to the Airbase on the East, and a small land of urban area with a bit larger land of open desert area with some villages on the west. The situation is real bad for SAA, and without an imminent SAA offensive to break the siege, I have my doubt of how long the defence will stand. This battle is now on it's most critical state.
