U.S. Congress Certifies The Electoral College Vote That Donald Trump Won The U.S. Presidential Election

Reuters: U.S. Congress certifies Trump's Electoral College victory

The U.S. Congress on Friday certified the Electoral College vote that gave Republican Donald Trump his victory in the contentious 2016 presidential election after a raucous half-hour joint session punctuated by Democratic challenges.

The Republican businessman, whose presidential campaign was his first bid for public office, garnered 304 electoral votes, compared with 227 won by his Democratic challenger, Hillary Clinton, according to the vote tally read by Vice President Joe Biden.

The electoral votes were opened before a joint session of Congress in what is considered a formality for most presidential elections.

Members of the House of Representatives objected to the electoral tally in states including Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Texas, Mississippi and the Carolinas in a symbolic move that exposed lingering dismay over a contentious election campaign.

This video is a true gem, really worth to watch it, but the best is that meanwhile Ryan is sitting in the background, smiling like a maniac and may be thinking "Everything will burn soon" or something. My other favorites are the congress testimonies/hearing, or anything that involve Lindsey Graham, because whenever I see him, I know I will burst out in laughing.

Laszlo,
How've you been? As far as Graham goes it's impossible not to laugh when you see him.

Thanks for your question James, I'm fine, but saying being fine is not really convincing in the nowaday times. Aleppo operation is done, Mosul operation is going well, Rif-Dimasq and Quneitra getting cleaner and cleaner, SDF advancing, what else could anyone wish for the new year? What else happened, hmm, setting the world on fire is on the way, doing lots of coding secret stuffs, and watching animes, but really not that much. Because of work I barely have time to check this site more than once a day, and I often miss comments, so I may miss some interesting conversations or questions, but I'm somewhat here every day.

I often share some videos with you, and as much as I like monitoring conflict/military things, I like to watch Military briefings, to at least hear the unpleasant questions, and learn how to avoid and unanswer questions. Not so long ago CJTF held another briefing, you can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAE7fT13WWM
I not yet finished watching the whole video, but so far my favorite is a question about YPG fighters in Manbij, and the answer for that, between 13:15 and 16:20. That's summs up press briefings I guess. Other than that, when the questions have meaning and can be answered there are some interesting infos said, like PMF future advance to/toward Raqqa (?) and VBIED stuffs, so it's worth a listen.

How you doing by the way? Have you found the faith I try to led you to? What about Seneca's writings?

I'll check it out. Being that I'm a pretty much an irredeemable heathen the faith thing will be a little difficult for me. I always liked Seneca, but if I remember right he got a little too involved in imperial politics and got whacked. I'm somewhat partial to Boethius's "Consolation of Philosophy", but he enjoyed the same fate of Seneca.
I've got a performance art thing going and was hoping to do an installation today (but it's a little cold, some of that celsius weather, not the warmer fahrenheit kind), oh yeah the art thing is called "The Mystified Golfer", starring yours truly and wondering "why did my golf ball go over there" ah the pit falls of creativity.
Maybe I'll go read some St. Augustine again, but he really was pretty much a self appointed self righteous pendant and boring.
Until next time, as we used to say a long time ago, "never think it can't get any worse, it can".

Laszlo,
As a follow up be cheerful, at least we don't 50,000 Mongols killing every living thing in a 80 mile wide path and heading our way!

Laszlo,
In the vein of philosophy here is a rare video of when I was last involved in philosophy:
