Daily Mail: Frontrunner Emmanuel Macron announces a 'massive and co-ordinated Russian hack' into his campaign's e-mails - just FOUR minutes before French journalists are banned from saying anything about them ahead of Sunday's presidential election

* Emails from Emmanuel Macron's campaign were posted online by hackers
* Nine gigabytes of data were posted by a user called EMLEAKS to Pastebin
* Macron made announcement four minutes before media ban came into force
* It comes two days before voters go to the polls to choose their next president
* Polls put centrist Macron 24 points ahead of Ms Le Pen before Sunday vote

Emmanuel Macron announced Russian hackers launched a 'massive and coordinated' bid to destabilise his campaign just moments before a ban on media reports liable to affect the presidential race.

Nine gigabytes of data were posted by a user called EMLEAKS to Pastebin, a document-sharing site that allows anonymous posting.

The French presidential forerunner made the eleventh hour announcement at 11.56pm - four minutes before the legal prohibition on campaigning was put in place.
