CNN Imposes New Rules On Russian Stories After Retraction Of A Major Story Involving A Trump Official Meeting Russian Officials

The Hill: CNN imposing new rules on Russia stories

CNN is reportedly implementing strict new rules for the network's stories regarding Russia.

CNNMoney executive editor Rich Barbieri sent out an email Saturday regarding the network's new rules after CNN a day earlier issued a retraction on one of its stories.

"No one should publish any content involving Russia without coming to me and Jason [Farkas]," said the email, obtained by BuzzFeed News.

WNU Editor: Only retracting one story ?!?!?! CNN's news coverage has been nothing but Trump colluding with the Russians non stop for the past few months.

Update #1: Leaving on their free will, or being told to hand in their resignations .... Three journalists leaving CNN after retracted article (CNN).

Update #2: Here is another one on media bias. I watched Bernie Sanders interviewed on NBC's Meet The Press show on Sunday (link is here) .... and not one question was asked on the FBI investigating him and his wife for bank fraud, or is he going to tone down his language after one of his  supporters (James T. Hodgkinson) almost massacred 22 Republican lawmakers a few weeks ago. If this was Sarah Palin or any other Republican conservative would they have received the same treatment? I doubt it.

The MSM and Social Media is controlled by a small group of people that have an agenda, this is nothing new, Hearst was instrumental getting the US involved in the Spanish American War. I don't know if there is a solution to this, one good step would be to break up the big media corporations, as far a social Media goes I don't know what the solution would be, declaring them public utilities might be a good start. The power of these people should and must be curtailed, important stories and points of view are being suppressed and have been for a long time, this is a main reason the west is in decline and we have been in decline for sometime and I doubt that it will survive.

Absolutely agree WNU. I used to watch CNN for nearly 2 decades - since 9/11 they did two things that pissed me of so much that I can't watch them anymore and don't

1) everything is "breaking news" and they don't care that all they do is basically making blood money by over-reporting on terrorism, blowing everything way out of proportions and causing hatred and fear among the general population which is more and more turning against peaceful Muslims potentially causing to happen what terrorists want. Absolutely unforgiveable. A disgrace of a network.

2) absolute and constant media bias against Trump. Now, I hate Trump and have written extensively against him at several occasions and more than a year before he was elected. He's such a disgrace and I wish Obama would still be in office. Even president Bush would be better. Sure, he was an intellectual and strategic light weight (and got manipulated by Cheney like crazy), but he was mostly honest and not a racist. Anyways. ..even despite all my disgust about Trump I feel cnn is going too far and felt so for months. All innuendo, name calling, political lynching, and having people on your team that passed on town hall questions to Clinton (basically f*cking over bernie at that time). Absolute disgrace of a network and they have to take partial blame for making that one leftie so crazy he shot republicans. That is CNNs fault. All innuendo and making people like Jay go crazy.

Finally - and this is just a consequence of CNN and MSNBC together - they make the left now officially as retarded as the tea party. I'm left leaning and used to count myself towards the Democrats. ..but after this lying, vote cheating, town hall questions being passed on to Clinton - something she never apologised for (basically cheating during presidential ejections! ) you can't take the democratic party seriously anymore. Even Bernie is too far out there. He doesn't know jack squad about Europe and runs his mouth about what we have and don't have. Pathetic.

If Trump wins the reelection, cnn has to take the blame. They cried wolf so many times with no evidence all their reporters and journalists -who used to be no1 names in the business - now can't be taken seriously anymore. Sometimes I think CNN colludes with Russia because they f*ck up their watchers so bad you can't help but wonder if they are doing this on purpose to cause a civil war or political turmoil beyond compare.

"The medium is the message." Marshall McClelland
Meaning in CNNs case: remote, impersonal, and fast. TV has made us junkies to a story that is so fast we can never fully catch it, so far away you can't see it coming, and impersonal because you can't blame the guy on tv. He's on tv. If you ever do get to Atlanta and go to get a follow up the story will surely have changed and you will be made to feel like a fool. Which we are.
Newspapers on the other hand was a more humane tool. Writing and print.
The internet is the worst of all though. Make tv look like a lame turtle. It won't ever get any better until we can figure out a way to get a refund for bad news. :)
