Washington Free Beacon: China’s Intelligence Networks in United States Include 25,000 Spies

Dissident reveals up to 18,000 Americans recruited as Chinese agents.

Beijing's spy networks in the United States include up to 25,000 Chinese intelligence officers and more than 15,000 recruited agents who have stepped up offensive spying activities since 2012, according to a Chinese dissident with close ties to Beijing's military and intelligence establishment.

Guo Wengui, a billionaire businessman who broke with the regime several months ago, said in an interview that he has close ties to the Ministry of State Security (MSS), the civilian intelligence service, and the military spy service of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

"I know the Chinese spy system very, very well," Guo said, speaking through an interpreter, in his first American interview. "I have information about very minute details about how it operates."

Guo said he learned about Chinese spy activities from Ma Jian, a former MSS vice minister, and Ji Shengde, former PLA military intelligence chief.

WNU Editor: The scary part is that the FBI appears to have no clue on how these Chinese intelligence networks operate .... let alone on how many Chinese spies are in the U.S..

Well, there's over 1500 Russian Spies wandering around the US on Trump Visa's,

144.1 million Russian's,

1.371 billion Chinese, so there's probably a heck of a lot more than 25,000 Chinese spies wandering around the US on Trump visa's,

More so when you consider the "pull" that China got from the Trump Trademark Approval's and the jailing and torture of the Workplace Activist's checking out Ivanka's child labour factories in China.

I'm willing to bet students that come here are often related to their network.

Used to be,

but now all they have to do on the visa application is write:

- Chinese Spy
- Huijan Shoes

And they not only get the visa, but they get the same classified clearance access as Flynn and Kushner.

Nope. Just look at the concentrations of Chinese "students" crowding any/all US tech schools. Which happen to be the best in the world. Cal Tech for instance.

Trump needs to shut down the huge majority of Chinese student visas. Like today.

And a Chinese company wants to build a 10-story Buddha in Lancaster, CA - in direct line of sight to Lockheed's Skunk Works ops. Ridiculous - except that the addled leftists running CA would likely sign off on the thing.

You'd think they'd have better results on all their theft and fraud and piracy. But the fact that the Chinese are incapable of producing an indigenous technical design seems to have polluted their copies as well.

The way the so called spy thing works, and it doesn't matter what country your from, you will be contacted by your former country either openly or clandestinely. In one way or another every Foreign National living abroad is basically is a spy resource for their former country whether they know it or not, depending on what your job is, depends on how much they use you. Using Patriotism, Blackmail, ego, naivety or financial reward, those pricks in the spy agencies will use you, most people will will never know. On the other side of the coin every Foreign National is suspect and will be watched, one of the reasons the NSA, and other's intercept Internet and Phone traffic, because spy agencies all use the same tactics and know what to look for.

TWN,

This is probably a correct analogy of how this spy thing works. Essentially all nations do it to each other. Of course if one has nothing of value then likely no one wants to spy on them as their is no upside benefit to doing so.

As to whether or not there are 25,000, the actual number is probably significantly less. Is it a serious issue though? It probably is.

Part of the problem with 25,000 active spies is recruitment and retention of theses spies as well as monitoring them would be a huge job. Essentially the net is to wide and runs a greater risk of detection. Most likely the number is much smaller and much more focus on what the Chinese government would deem to be most effective.

25,000 Chinese spies?!!? This reeks of someone trying to incite mass hysteria. Having gone out of their initially to provoke and inflame Cold War 2 with Russia, a war we don't need, can't afford, and lack the resources to prosecute effectively. Furthermore the Russians did not want this either and still don't. Unfortunately certain unscrupulous elements are acting to literally drag all of us into this while like crazed insane people undercutting any and all attempts that might possibly lead to a diplomatic settlement.

Now having pretty much utterly failed at everything, these people need a "foreign devil." For this they went out of their way to provoke Russia. Apparently Russia isn't big enough for them. They now need to incite mass hysteria against China. This coming at a time when a negotiated settlement to the North Korean situation is urgently needed and Chinese cooperation is paramount. Now is probably not the best of times to incite mass hysteria against China. Of course those who are insane have lost all ability to think rationally.

Jay,

Thanks for the link. If America really is backing away from support for Tibet, this is great news!! While it sounds to good to be true, such an action is long overdue. While I will not pretend to fully understand Tibet, it appears to be a power struggle between China and Tibet. Actually few Americans even understand what a Tibet is as most of us are simply just trying to survive, feeding our families, keeping a roof over our heads, procuring proper medical care, keeping ourselves and our families clothed few of us have time to keep up with such things.

Taking sides in a foreign dispute is can and likely would be seen as an act of war against one side. As such, extreme care should be taken in doing such things. Since it is the duty of Congress to declare war and there has not been any sort of debate on how and why Tibet serves any American interests much less such an interest that we should risk placing Americans in even graver peril than they are already in especially considering we are going to be needing Chinese cooperation in to many areas to list here in the coming years. By choosing to back away from this, Mr. Trump is showing himself to be wise.

Reading the words of the Tibetan leader lecturing the United States and its people is actually kind of cute. We Americans have lectured others on numerous occasions and have seen it end quite badly for us. They might want to observe our past behaviors and learn from our mistakes. Such actions will inevitably lead to blowback.

Now if someone wants to go fight for dear old Tibet, by all means STRAP IT ON!! go! ONWARD TO GLORY! The Tibetans will likely use you as pawns. Your life means nothing to them. As for America, we would be hard pressed to defend our own country right now when it is invaded. As such, continuing to insert of in Tibet's affairs hardly seems a productive use of limited resources.

Actually we need to be looking to scale back American foreign involvement by at least 99% in the next few years. Since it has to happen anyway, the only question is will this be accomplished in an orderly or disorderly manner.

LMFAO,

Hair Twitler traded Tibet to China for Trump Brands and Trademarks being approved, and pesky Chinese Activists investigating slavery and forced labour in Ivanka's factories disappearance and torture.

Wonder what Hair Twitler will trade with Putin for Crimea, the Ukraine and several Baltic Countries to be named later,

He's always wanted Trump Towers Moscow, but the project never gets approved.
