CNN Commentator: We Should Debate Whether To ‘Blow Up’ Russian Agencies In Retaliation

Washington Free Beacon: Begala: We Should Debate Whether to ‘Blow Up’ Russian Agencies in Retaliation

CNN commentator and longtime Clinton ally Paul Begala said Wednesday that the U.S. should be debating whether to "blow up" agencies like the GRU in an apparent call for President Donald Trump to bomb Russia.

Begala, who like many Democrats praised Barack Obama for mocking Mitt Romney's description of Russia as "our No. 1 geopolitical foe" in 2012, said on CNN that Russia is a "hostile foreign power" and the Trump administration should be "retaliating massively" for Russian meddling in the U.S. presidential election in 2016.

WNU Editor: When a North Korean news announcer talks about destroying the U.S. .... the U.S. takes notice. When an American news announcer talks about destroying Russian national security institutions .... trust me on this one .... Russia also takes notice. Granted .... CNN commentator and longtime Clinton ally Paul Begala does not hold any levers of power .... but this is all about optics, and the optics that Washington is sending to Russia and the rest of the world .... while providing no evidence to back their case .... is that of a country eager for war.

The damage CNN is causing is becoming so big I really have to question their motives. Did the funding structure of CNN change over the last few years?
Why are they continuing down this rampage of saying "the president is a traitor" combined with "let's blow up Russian agencies because they did that to us", both things that sound very impressive but for which there is no evidence. Who profits from all this? Sure. .the military industrial complex and the news media that goes into this frenzy overdrive of we're under attack. ..but it's really becoming an issue of both, the military industrial complex and now the news media now work more and more towards a catastrophe with no one reigning them in, and them - the news media - not having to live in a fact based world and have evidence for any of their claims. When Fox news did it, people on the left knew it. When cnn does it, they seem to be blind to it. But that's what's happening now. .we're being pushed to war by CNN. Why? Where's the evidence? What's going on?

@ WNU comment - The American Left is absolutely shouting warlike speech. And they're violent domestically. Ready for war against Trump supporters (their own countrymen). Ready for war against Russia. And ready to go to war in Syria. Which is war with Russia and Iran.

/they don't seem too bothered by China or North Korea though.

In 15 minutes the story will change. A new wave of sensational advocacy journalism that most smart people refuse to watch.
Wonder why it was included here.

Aaron. I put it here because yes .... the story will recycle into something else and everyone will forget about it. But for those outside the U.S. .... remarks like that are not forgotten.

I just remembered.
Khrushchev's I will "bury you" speech at the UN was quoted by the US press and by politicians for decades. Granted .... Paul Begala is no Khrushchev .... but remarks like his (as well as from others) will be repeated for years "over there".
