RCP: CNN 'New Day': CNN Promised Not To Identify Pro-Trump Reddit User If He Apologized; "A Nice Thing"
On Wednesday's edition of CNN's New Day, hosts Chris Cuomo and Alisyn Camerota addressed the apology the network was able to get from the Reddit user behind the gif of President Trump wrestling a CNN image superimposed on WWE founder Vince McMahon. Trump tweeted out the gif and received widespread condemnation from the mainstream media.
"Something remarkable I thought happened yesterday, I thought it was remarkable that CNN found the Reddit user who created the gif of Donald Trump and the wrestling video and where he punches CNN, so the investigative team went back and found the guy who first created this he took credit for it, and then here comes the remarkable part, he apologized. He apologized for having done this," Camerota said.

You mean Trump didn't make the video? As someone that tried to avoid this story like the plague I just assumed by its portrail in the headlines that Trump had actually created the video...interesting.
not to argue etc but face it, the daily caller? of course. And serious conservative places, eg WSJ?
Fred. On Reddit the outrage is overwhelming.
There is the main stream media .... and then there is everyone else. If there is one lesson that we have learned since last year .... the main stream media is losing .... and this is just one more example that illustrates why.
It has already been a few days .... but I am beginning to realise that many people are now actually laughing at CNN. Let us watch it to see the next outrage or train-wreck in their reporting .... and CNN is not disappointing. To send their investigative team to track down who was this Reddit poster ....c'mon .... they can't take it when people are laughing and ridiculing them.
perhaps people are laughing at CNN...can you point to numers etc? but then a very recent poll made clear that voters believed CNN much more than Trump.
Ah Fred .... do you actually watch CNN? When I tune to their channel I am now on the floor laughing in hysterics on their reporting .... and I will admit that it has building up for me over the months. But when they brought Sesame Street's character Elmo to criticise the Trump travel ban .... that opened the floodgates for me. CNN is dying .... they just do not know it yet .... and that is what makes it even more funnier.
THIS EXPLAINS WHY CNN ANNOYED AND WHY THEY OFFERED ANON. TO THE MAKER IT IS RATIONAL AND not as those anti CNN folks state.
Fred. There is a lot of crap on the web today .... we both know that. But when do we see a network exercise censorship by threatening someone who is ridiculing them .... and then rationalising why they are censoring the guy. I tell you .... and I have repeated this more than once .... people in the media do not like it when the spotlight is on them or when they are being laughed at.
