BBC: Europe migrant crisis: Italy threatens to close ports as ministers meet
Germany, France and Italy's interior ministers are to meet for crisis talks as Italy warns the influx of migrants into the country is unsustainable.
Italy has threatened to close its ports and impound rescue ships run by aid agencies carrying people from Libya.
It needs more support as people cross the Mediterranean from Africa in large numbers, the UN's refugee agency said.
More than 500,000 migrants have passed through Italian ports since 2014, and numbers are on the rise again.

WNU Editor: Impounding the rescue ships and billing the owners will stop most migrants from using the Mediterranean Sea to reach Europe when they quickly find out that they will not be rescued if the ships are not out there to rescue them. Will this stop the migrant crisis .... no .... these migrants will find alternative routes, but it will severely limit the human smugglers and the NGOs who enable them from using the sea routes .... a route that has already taken thousands of lives in the past few years.

No. Say it is not so! Europe needs all the migrants they can get. Especially since most of the citizenry ( except for the polish) have lost their minds. Migrants as a tool of warfare? Hmmm.
