The Hill: US Army chief: War with North Korea would be 'highly deadly'

The Army’s top uniformed official on Thursday said a land war with North Korea would be “highly deadly,” and that the United States has no good options for how to deal with the rogue nation.

“War in the Korean peninsula would be terrible, however, a nuclear weapon detonating in Los Angeles would be terrible,” Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mark Milley said.

Very deadly!I recall a time in Korea when at night on a mission to deliver some stuff. I encountered Matt Ridgeway, the General in charge of the war, a great general. Small arms fire in the distance. Ridgeway saluted me back and said: "Lots of small arms fire out there, soldier." I thought: wow this guy a West Pointer and he sure knows his stuff!
