New York Times: Trump’s Son Met With Russian Lawyer After Being Promised Damaging Information on Clinton
President Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., was promised damaging information about Hillary Clinton before agreeing to meet with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer during the 2016 campaign, according to three advisers to the White House briefed on the meeting and two others with knowledge of it.
The meeting was also attended by the president’s campaign chairman at the time, Paul J. Manafort, and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner. Mr. Manafort and Mr. Kushner recently disclosed the meeting, though not its content, in confidential government documents described to The New York Times.
The Times reported the existence of the meeting on Saturday. But in subsequent interviews, the advisers and others revealed the motivation behind it.

This is their case for collusion?!?!?!? Talk about making a very thin case for collusion .... or any impropriety for that matter. But it is not stopping those who strongly oppose President Trump .... Legal experts divided on whether Donald Trump Jr. broke the law with Kremlin lawyer meeting (NYDaily News), or even some now saying that Donald Trump Jr. should be charged for treason. My prediction .... unless the New York Times is keeping something back that is more substantial, this story is going to become this .... A guy like this is pulled into 50 meetings a week - and please don't tell me Clinton - week accepted town hall questions from CNN ahead of the debate - would not have tried to get dirty laundry on Trump.

He is getting more and more shrill since last year .... calling for Donald Trump's impeachment before the inauguration. I think the focus that everyone is putting on is in the wrong place. Finding dirt on your opponent is nothing new .... the Clintons wrote the book on that .... but so what .... that is politics and the Clintons have a few good wins under their belt. Finding other parties and groups to work with your campaign is also nothing new .... you need as many as you can get if you are running for the US Presidency. What I would like to know is the circumstances that got Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, and Manafort in the same room to hear this person out. What was she specifically selling that enticed them to all show up .... and when she did not deliver what was promised resulted in all of them leaving the room quickly and treating her as a leper never to be seen again.
As for the Trumps continually updating their stories .... some are saying that this shows how non-political and inexperienced the Trumps are. I say the opposite .... they are continuing a long tradition of previous administrations in doing the same thing .... try to obscure your answers as best as possible.
