The Hill: N. Korea’s Kim: Nukes not negotiable
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Wednesday reportedly said his country's nuclear weapons programs are not up for negotiation.
In the wake of a high-profile North Korean missile launch, Kim said his country would "demonstrate its mettle to the U.S.," The Associated Press reported.
A state media report said Kim told “scientists and technicians that the U.S. would be displeased to witness [North Korea's] strategic option” on July 4.

WNU Editor: A rather blunt public declaration from the North Korean leader. Of course the U.S. media has a different take .... its Trump's fault .... Trump has never had a plan for dealing with North Korea (Phliip Bump, Washington Post).

the editor's reading of that Wash Post opinion piece differs from mine. He indicates the many and varied views Trump expressed about N. K. over time, till the present moment, at which, there is still no plan. The issue is a tough one. Sans war, only China could bring about a change, but clearly China not willing to go full out on that.
I did a google search on Washington Post Philip Bump's past posts on North Korea and his take on President Obama's policies. A lot of articles praising the former President .... none critical of his policies on North Korea. And now Philip Blunt is critical of U.S policies and Trump?!?!?! It is amazing how some people find a crisis and are quick to criticise while ignoring the past few years. Media bias .... nah.

Nuclear Weapons are always on the table.
They were always on the table between Russia and the U.S.
North Korea is China's and Russia's shining a red laser light on the wall.
