Bloomberg: Mueller Expands Probe to Trump Business Transactions
* Special counsel examines dealings of Kushner, Manafort, Trump
* Trump has warned Mueller against going beyond Russia in probe
The U.S. special counsel investigating possible ties between the Donald Trump campaign and Russia in last year’s election is examining a broad range of transactions involving Trump’s businesses as well as those of his associates, according to a person familiar with the probe.
The president told the New York Times on Wednesday that any digging into matters beyond Russia would be out of bounds. Trump’s businesses have involved Russians for years, making the boundaries fuzzy so Special Counsel Robert Mueller appears to be taking a wide-angle approach to his two-month-old probe.

WNU Editor: So much for Mueller's Special Counsel just being focused on Russian hacking and Moscow's involvement in the U.S. election. When you set up a Special Counsel with unlimited time, budget, and mandate .... everything is open to investigation .... even on business deals that were done years ago. And since the army that is investigating President Trump are primarily made up of Democrat donors and supporters of Hillary Clinton from last year's campaign .... it does not take much to realise that the motivation to find something is there. Bottom line .... even Russians who bought a condo from Donald Trump 10 years ago are now being investigated .... and I predict that it is not even going to end there. President Obama and the Democrats stayed away from appointing Special Counsels on issues like "Fast and Furious", Benghazi, the IRS targeting conservative non-profits, etc .... and for good reason .... these investigations always go elsewhere, and the outcome is usually never good.

now now, dear editor: you know the saying, Follow the Money. Just maybe there is a connection between money, loans, real estate, mob debts, and hacking...no one that I have read said the investigation was to be limited to hacking. After all, our intel agencies, ie, CIA, FBI, NSA, all stated there was hacking. Ok. Now why then investigate anything else? Why for example, was Comey fired...is that possibly connected? Why no tax returns made public? Again, very simple: if all is innocent, clear, then we will eventually know. If not, then, too, we will know. Why the constant need to dismiss the investigation when it has just barely got truly going, in committees and under Mueller? Deep breaths. And we will know.
Its a witch-hunt and nothing less than that. Democrats, hardcore liberals and anyone who had anything to lose with a Trump presidency will not stop until he is impeached, out of office or so occupied with the in-fighting that nothing gets done.
Its also cracked open the real sham that is the american democracy. You are only elected to office if the elites allow it. In this case Trump did the impossible, and the ones pulling the strings are not happy; Trump was a wild card they couldn't predict.
This will carry on and likely continue to do so until either his administration ends or he is re-elected, if that ever happens, which I doubt it will.
D.Plowman,
I wouldn't count out his ability to get reelected. Even if he isn't, the elites may be dealing with 10 Trumps on the Republican side next time around and 20 Bernie Sanders's on the Democrat side. They won't be able to stop it.
You are correct about the sham of American democracy being cracked open. We have all suspected it for many years. Now it is plain to see. Also, we have all long known abut the American (in)justice system. Its use has generally been limited to either low to mid level personnel that we wish to eliminate or to people who lack the means to afford proper legal counsel. Since the (in)justice system has largely targeted people who were/are of a low level or people without means, people had the option of blithely pretending it does not exist. This will no longer be the case.
Fred,
We all know where this is going.
Grand Juries and court cases on issues that probably have nothing to do with Russia influencing last year's election.
Too much is invested now to see President Trump gone. From how the main stream media covers him .... to those who disagree with him on policy issues .... including many Republicans.
Thje president can not be impeached unless those elected in the GOP decide to impeach...simple as that.
For those with the time and inclination to see what is going on with the Mueller "mandate," see http://bit.ly/2vnLIyf
One thing that leftists can be relied upon to do - especially with the raging hurt feelings over their loss of the house, senate and now the presidency - is consistent overreach.
And it bites them sqauarly on the ass.
Every time.
Thanks for sharing
for those who wonder why the investigation is now also to include Trump finances, THIS WILL EXPLAIN THE REASON
Sorry Fred, but that Salon article is pretty weak.
"Majority of Trump supporters 'don't believe Trump Jr attended Russian lawyer meeting'
Donald Trump Jr has confirmed he took the meeting"

"Only 45 per cent of Trump voters, the national poll found, believe that Mr Trump Jr met with a Kremlin-connected lawyer who promised damaging information on Hillary Clinton.
Donald Trump Jr has confirmed multiple times that he took this meeting. The White House has not disputed this account."
