The Heavy-Duty Truck Used In North Korea's Ballistic Missile Test Came From China

Reuters: North Korea appeared to use China truck in its first claimed ICBM test

North Korea appeared to use a Chinese truck originally sold for hauling timber to transport and erect a ballistic missile that was successfully launched on Tuesday, highlighting the challenge of enforcing sanctions to curb its weapons program.

North Korea state television showed a large truck painted in military camouflage carrying the missile. It was identical to one a U.N. sanctions panel has said was "most likely" converted from a Chinese timber truck.

Since 2006, U.N. sanctions have banned the shipment of military hardware to North Korea. But control of equipment and vehicles that have "dual-use" military and civilian applications has been far less stringent.

WNU Editor: I can see the Chinese reaction to this already .... we sold them a truck to transport lumber, how did we know what they were going to really use it for. The truth is .... they had a very good idea on what this truck can and cannot do, and they also have no illusions on who and what the North Korean regime is. Bottom line .... they sold this truck to North Korea because they wanted money and access to North Korea's resource base which is now estimated to be in the trillions .... North Korea could be sitting on trillions in untapped mineral resources (The Independent). The consequences of such a vehicle being used to test a ballistic missile .... just an after-thought.

China can have access to North Korean resources through fair trade.

China can impose regime change through embargo, coup or negotiation.

China and Russia thinks they are the only ones with rogues to play with and yet disavow.

More than one city will glow, if North Korea launches a nuke.

Trump is not the only one to pressure Apple. President Obama tried to pressure Steve Jobs on opening plants in the U.S., but Steve Jobs shot it down when he explained to President Obama that it takes years to get the necessary approvals to build such a plant in the U.S. .... while in China it only takes a few months. As long as this continues, Apple will never build a manufacturing plant in the U.S..

But for China .... the prospect of having U.S. markets closed to them is truly frightening. They are terribly dependent on this trade and the benefits of having surpluses .... just hit 10% of that trade via through tariffs will mean less money for Beijing, but more importantly an indication for foreign companies based in China that they should relocate elsewhere. A shirt made in China can also be made in Bangladesh .... and probably cheaper too.

Chinese low rent trade has already been "offshored" to Burma, Bangladesh and other countries,

And the US is no longer the consumer market it once was.

China's gonna do fine, the US is fucked.

As I wrote on several occasions, the Chinese are doing everything they can to arm North Korea secretly and publicly saying "bad brother" not our fault. The reality is this: north Korea is another step closer of being able to launch a nuclear tipped icbm at the east coast of the US (think san Francisco), causing an immediate end to the debate who will rule this century. The loss of trillions of dollars worth in infrastructure and technology development (silicon valley) is exactly the thing that chinese could survive. They'd make huuuuge profits selling wuawei phones to the American users who want a cheap phone after the collapse and don't trust Korean phones like samsung (remember freedom fries? Americans can be so stupid to confuse south and north Korea, you better believe it)..

I hope the US realises that they are already at war with China

Given that the Worlds largest, strongest and fastest growing economy is secretly arming the NORK's with Type 99's, J-20's, PLZ-45's,

And the NORK's are going to pre-emtively nuke the US,

You should seek refugee status somewhere, not socialist of course, but instead, a Randian paradise, like Somalia.

Jay - I've been to Somalia. Still a nicer place than being locked in a bar with you talking nonsense while you stuff your face with pretzels and go on about trump and Russia haha classic Jay

Once again Jay lies, trolls or is sadly misinformed.

U.S Consumer Spending
https://tradingeconomics.com/united-states/consumer-spending

The trend is upward and all but monotonically increasing.

Jay have you been to China?

Do you speak Mandarin?

One more thing.

Do you wear a kilt?

That is a loaded question and does not impugn your manhood.
