Politico: Scaramucci threatens 'to fire everybody' to stop White House leaks

The financier and longtime Trump surrogate, newly installed as communications director, is eager to shake up a press operation seen as loyal to chief of staff Reince Priebus.

President Donald Trump’s newly appointed communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, said Tuesday that he is prepared to “fire everybody” in the White House communications shop in order to put an end to embarrassing internal leaks.

The financier and longtime Trump surrogate is eager to shake up the communications shop, which has been dominated by former Republican National Committee staffers loyal to White House chief of staff Reince Priebus, a former RNC chairman.

WNU Editor: All governments need message discipline .... Anthony Scaramucci has clearly indicated that this is going to be the rule. The fact that the first firing of a leaker was leaked to the press .... and Anthony Scarammucci's remark that this leak upset him greatly .... tells me that things are going to change.

Update: Speaking of "cracking the whip" and getting things done, I guess Attorney General Sessions is getting the hint .... Sessions planning to announce leak investigations: report (The Hill). Former FBI Director Comey's disinterest in doing these type of investigations is one of the main reasons why he got fired .... especially the leaks involving intelligence and President Trump's private communications with world leaders. AG sessions is finally doing something that he should have done on Day One.

Update #2: I am not an American .... just someone from outside looking in. But Republicans now control everything .... and this is their opportunity to govern. When President Obama was elected in 2008 he and the Democrats also controlled everything, and did not hesitate to push their agenda while sticking it to Republicans like John McCain that  they had won the election. While I do not see the benefit of acting the same way as President Obama did .... the Democrats are in total disarray now .... Republicans do have a mandate, and if they do not fulfil it their supporters will be staying home in the next election cycle.
