World News Briefs -- August 8, 2017 (Evening Edition)

Politico: Trump warns North Korea: Threats will be met with 'fire and fury'

Trump's comments come after news outlets report that North Korea has created a miniaturized nuclear warhead that can fit inside missiles.

President Donald Trump warned North Korea on Tuesday against its continued saber rattling, vowing to retaliate with fire and fury never before seen.

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” Trump told reporters Tuesday afternoon from his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, where he is staying as the White House undergoes renovations for much of this month.

" KCNA news agency reported moments ago that not only did N.Korea escalate the tensions up another notch, but explicitly warned that it could carry out a "pre-emptive operation once the US shows signs of provocation", and that it is "seriously considering a strategy to strike Guam with mid-to-long range missiles."

I guess lefties don't get that this statement was for Nork consumption, not theirs. But what's the difference?

Jay Farquharson said...

And the tighty-Righties have no clue what happened in the North during the Korean War, and as a result, especially coming from the US, threats have no meaning to them,

LMFAO, those NORK nukes are going to look so pretty, blossoming in the Heartland,

/I guess all those Canada bound Haitians know best.

My honest opinion is that this thing will end with a whimper and not a bang.

The language out of Trump is also gaining an audience in China. Who just backed a US drafted resolution for more Nork sanctions. Who is also holding large scale PLAN drills off Nork's coast. The messaging from China is right in line with Trump. Those Chinese Trumpkins, you know.

Again - whimper, not bang.

LMFAO,

As the NORK's made clear in regards to Guam,

US forward deployments of F-22's and B-2's are now their "red line".

Poor Kim such a glutton for punishment, now he's gonna be dragged to the fence for a beating just like Daniel and China aka Mr Miagyi aint gonna help this time round.

Jay Farquharson said...

Nope,

Hair Twitler will have Steven Miller keep writing florid threats, ( as long as Miller stays in the Alt -Reich House, Vegas odds arn't good),

Russia and China will evade and pay lip service,

The NORK's will have re-entry done by late fall, probably a nuke test as well,

Some RAND Institute wonk will write a strategy paper in early winter, the Pentagon will pay RAND a few tens of millions of dollars of taxpayers money for the study,

The study will make the rounds,

And by spring, US policy towards the NORK's will follow the same path as when the Soviets got the bomb, the Red Chinese got the bomb, the Indians got the bomb, the Pakistani's got the bomb,

Regime Change taken off the table,
Scaling down of deployments and exercises that could be seen as threats,
Transparency and Verification,
Nuke to Nuke hotlines

Maybe..there's Russian tanks building up on the east front - for their training exercise. ..total strength about 100,000

Coinciding with a Russian controlled US president this could happen and both Putin and Un would be psychopathic enough to go in a blaze of glory. ..Xi however is not. .he's too much enjoying life and wants everything to be controlled/nothing go wrong. And in a full out war against EU,US and other NATO allies things would go wrong quickly. ;)
