NBC: North Korea Vows to Complete Nuclear Weapons Program
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un promises his country would continue to develop its nuclear weapons program with the ultimate goal of establishing "equilibrium" in military force with the U.S., according to state media.
The comments, carried by KCNA news agency on Saturday, come after the U.N. Security Council strongly condemned Pyongyang's latest missile launch over Japan as "highly provocative."
President Donald Trump's administration proposed crippling sanctions on North Korea in response to its recent underground test of a nuclear device that it claimed was a powerful hydrogen bomb. The proposals had to be watered down to win the support of Russia and China, but were adopted unanimously by the Security Council after a vote early last week.

They cannot compete bomb for bomb. their GDP is smaller.
Also their is no equilibrium, when they issue threats, export missiles, dig tunnels to South Korea, engage in cyber crime, etc.
There should be a missile aimed just a fat boy. If he moves, we will know and can retarget the missile. We just have to look at how the earth precesses as he throws his great girth around.
Sir-
of course they can not compete. But if they get 40, that is a nice start.
they sure do bad things: we do not dig tunnels, but we do engage in cyber war, issue threats, and sell more arms than any other nation on earth.
Pretty much.. there are no good guys left. Once you figure that out, the world makes a lot more sense.
"but we do engage in cyber war, issue threats, and sell more arms than any other nation on earth. "
"but we do engage in cyber war"
And? I would expect us to do so. It depends on who did want to us, when and how badly.
"issue threats"
issuing a threat back is not the same as issuing a threat 1st or out of the blue
If I tell the bully I will wipe the pavement with his face after said bully threatens me. The two threats are not weighed the same. If they are weighed the same it is a miscarriage of justice. It might be legal, but still fly against good sense, decency and be a miscarriage of justice. People who think the two threats should be weighed the same are mental,
"sell more arms than any other nation on earth. "
Selling arms to Japan is not the same as North Korea selling arms to Iran. The USSR selling arms to Warsaw pact Poland is not the same as North Korea selling arms to Iran.
Selling arms from one state to another is not a crime. It is not immoral depending on how belligerent the receiving state is.
Selling arms to Germany, Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia & Iran are all different as to whether they are good just or moral.
It could be argued that selling arms to Saudi Arabia is immoral. Fine.
But consider all the arms we sent, leased or sold to the USSR during WW2. the USSR had made a pact with Hitler and waged aggressive war against Poland. they also waged war against Finland. One could argue that was immoral. One could also argue that if you never made a act unless someone was purer than the wind driven snow and the ___ was so clean that it squeaked that you would make no alliances or have no trade at all.
You have non-perfect allies. This is a fact of life. How often you ally with non-perfect nations and how bad they are matters. But do it you must.
If Iran was a secular nation and non-hostile, I would turn on Saudi Arabia in a second. Until then we lump it. We try various things to make it better, but still in the end if they do not change we lump it.

If we sell 5 tanks and someone else sells 5 tanks, but our 5 tanks cost more, does this mean we sell more?
I say it does not. throw weight is what matters.
Nothing wrong with those
