WNU Editor: She has been living in Miami for two years, and this is her first hurricane. She has just told me that everyone's mood changed dramatically a few hours ago .... they are preparing for a lot of damage. Her condo is on the 17th floor on the beach .... and yes .... it faces the ocean. She and some of her friends are going to drive inland tomorrow morning and stay at another friend's home until this blows over. Her mother (my cousin) is naturally "freaking out" right now .... she is currently in Kiev.
