YouTube has shut down two North Korean propaganda channels that academics use to monitor and assess the regime’s missile programs.
Stimmekoreas, the most popular YouTube channel on North Korea with more than 20,000 subscribers, and Uriminzokkiri, which had more than 18,000 subscribers, frequently posted of videos of state TV news clips and other footage, attracting millions of views.
On Friday they were terminated for violating YouTube’s community guidelines.

WNU Editor: These channels provide a valuable tool for those who are trying to have a better understanding on what is happening inside North Korea .... closing them down has just made their job more difficult. And as for fears that these videos may influence people's opinions .... I doubt it. You have to be brainwashed from the 1950s to believe this stuff.

I have always wondered what impact international hockey had on the demise of the Soviet Union as thousands of young men from countries in the Soviet Union brought back stories of the places they had visited. The shopping malls and the choices of products available as well as massive numbers of people out shopping.
I remember thinking at the time when Harold Ballard, then owner of Maple Leaf Gardens, refused to allow the Russian team to play in his arena, and how counter productive his stand was.
Around that time I was in a store in Square One that sold NHL sports shirts etc. I was at the counter when the sales guy recognized a player from the Czechoslovakian team. The sales guy was also Czechoslovakian and they talked very briefly in English. The part of the comment I noted was the sales guy saying "lots of stuff eh?".

That means there are no more than 2 or 3 degrees of separation between Anon & Fred.
This is out of a possible 6 or so degrees of separation.
