U.S. Senator Jeff Flake
AZCentral: Arizona's Jeff Flake announces he will not seek re-election to U.S. Senate
Condemning the nastiness of Republican politics in the era of President Donald Trump, Sen. Jeff Flake on Tuesday announced he will serve out the remainder of his term but will not seek re-election in 2018.
The bombshell, which Flake, R-Ariz., intended to detail Tuesday afternoon on the Senate floor, will further roil Republican hopes of keeping the party's 52-seat Senate majority in the midterm elections of Trump's first term, when the president's party historically loses seats in Congress.
It also likely will upend the race for Flake's seat.
Flake, one of the Senate's more prominent critics of President Donald Trump, has been struggling in the polls.

WNU Editor: US Senator Flake is having a lot of trouble raising money, and he is trailing over 20% in the polls against his main Republican primary challenger. His time was up, and this is just more evidence on how much the Republican Party has changed (and is changing) since last year's election.

Corker and Flake are gone.
There is not one talk show host that had anything good to say about Flake. Glenn Beck did for 6 months. Afterwards, he shifted away from his positive opinion of flake and on air more than once said he had been fooled by Flake. Glenn is goes after Trump although I have not heard him do so in 2 or 3 months, but Id not listen to him enough to know for sure.
I am glad the ____ing __ssy Flake is bowing out. Now there is no incumbent advantage for a RINO. Although the Republican establishment will find a new face to fool the electorate and put money behind such candidate.
The ____ing __ssy Flake did not have the cajones to stick around for another 3 months to see if he could fight and affect the polls in his favor. If he throws in the towel that freaking easy, it is fair to ask "Did he fight hard at all against the ruinous polices of the Democrats?"
Now, money perhaps can be directed to go after another RINOs. Flake is gone, maybe Collins may be challenged next or move up on the list of RINOs to be challenged in a primary (or recalled). Collins has totally screwed over the senate for 3 decades.
There were 2 recall election against the Republican governor of Wisconsin. Now that fLAKE is gone, maybe there should be a recall election to replace McCain. McCain is a war hero. Well so was Benedict Arnold. Once a hero does not forever make you a hero. Thank McCain for his service and then vote that feeble, privileged codger out of office.
