Reuters: Trump may visit DMZ between North and South Korea: Yonhap
SEOUL (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump may travel to the heavily fortified demilitarized zone (DMZ) separating North and South Korea when he visits South Korea next month, the South’s Yonhap news agency said on Tuesday, citing a defense source.
The White House sent an advance team of working-level officials in late September to check candidate sites for Trump’s “special activity” in South Korea, the source was quoted as saying.
Trump was expected to send a significant message to North Korea, either verbally or “kinetically”, during his first trip to the peninsula as U.S. commander-in-chief, the source said.
The truce village of Panmunjom and the observation post, both inside the DMZ, were among locations Trump was considering visiting, the source said.
Yonhap did not elaborate and the White House did not comment.

Not every president goes to the dmz when the countries are approaching a kinetic war level.
how many visits by prior presidents at a time approaching a kinetic war level? Perhaps he will toss paper towels at N. Korean guards, as he did in Puerto Rico
Or perhaps he will continue to be the only potus who has managed to get those who matter onboard with serious sanctions and actually has Kim second guessing himself.
I think he's kept a few rolls of paper towel in the situation room, hell of a lot of mess to clean up.
This seems very unwise to me. If I was as unstable as kim, I'd blow south Korea to bits the second I confirmed Trump was there. He knows he can't beat america in a war, but killing the president would be about the closest second.
Unless he believes that he has called Kim's bluff and travelling within spitting distance is driving that point home.
Fatso, little. Rocket man etc and not a peep,even getting China onboard for serious sanctions . Kim is perplexed and second guessing himself.
