Washington Post: Trump plans to declare that Iran nuclear deal is not in the national interest
President Trump is expected to announce next week that he will “decertify” the international nuclear deal with Iran, saying it is not in the national interest of the United States and kicking the issue to a reluctant Congress, people briefed on the White House strategy said Thursday.
The move would mark the first step in a process that could eventually result in the resumption of U.S. sanctions against Iran, potentially derailing a deal limiting Iran’s nuclear activities reached in 2015 with the U.S. and five other nations.
But Trump would hold off on recommending that Congress reimpose sanctions, which would constitute a clearer break from the pact, according to four people familiar with aspects of the president’s thinking.

How is this in the US interest? It is in Israel's interest for sure.
But how is this in the US interest again? This makes no sense.
How is a deal that puts Iran's military bases off limits for inspections in the u.s interests?
This needs to recommended not scrapped.
Well, I am not crazy about this agreement, but I have a hard time to see what the strategy is doing so.........
So wait, Trump is giving them one week of notice that he'll fire them? So he expects the Iranians to sit still for a week and behave nicely? :)
This is not and never has been about the deal itself - not from a serious policy perspective. Trump criticised the deal long before he even had the security clearance to read it. No, this is about erasing Barrack Obama's policy achievements. Trump and Obama hate each other. Just look at the white house press dinner a few years ago (you can find it on YouTube), when Obama made jokes about Trump and everyone in the room kept laughing. Except Trump. That's what this is all about. It started even before that, when Trump claimed he had detectives who could provide proof that Obama wasn't born in the US (trying to deny him his presidency), or when Trump suggested Obama was bad at school and he'd like to look at his grades etc etc
It's personal between the two. Long has been and now it's Trump's turn for some more time until Obama strikes back (and he will, in some form or manner.. don't count the Obamas out. .they actually got brains and heart, not like the Trump family who go on safaris to shoot helpless animals and then boast in pictures above their corpses - oh so strong, oh so brave of you).
Pathetic.

Putting Iranian bases where they can hide a nuclear program is not an achievement unless Obama is anti-American.
