President Trump To Release Classified JFK Assassination Documents

Washington Post: Trump plans to release JFK assassination documents despite concerns from federal agencies

President Trump announced Saturday morning that he planned to release the tens of thousands of never-before-seen documents left in the files related to President John F. Kennedy’s assassination held by the National Archives and Records Administration.

“Subject to the receipt of further information, I will be allowing, as President, the long blocked and classified JFK FILES to be opened,” Trump tweeted early Saturday.

Kennedy assassination experts have been speculating for weeks about whether Trump would disclose the documents. The 1992 Kennedy Assassination Records Collection Act required that the millions of pages — many of them contained in CIA and FBI documents — be published in 25 years, by Oct. 26. Over the years, the National Archives has released most of the documents, either in full or partially redacted.

Finally Hans. I would like to think so but I imagine Trump will be on and off this for a while "subject to the receipt of future information". He loves the game and from his perspective this will end when the papers are released. I wish someone would come up with a program that would read through the black lines on the retracted stuff though.

"I highly doubt anything will be released."

The establishment hates Trump. The Establishment has been trying to keep this secret.
Why not release it?

You release everything. People review it and then they can focus on current events. Oh wait, but then they would be focusing on politicians today making decisions today, who might then be held accountable today.

Think of society as a critical mass or as a sub critical one. The longer people are distracted trying to get answers, the less time and effort they have to deal with issues now.

This is no different than if people withhold information from on a lower level. They delight in you waiting processing time trying to figure out all the angles and possibilities while they play gate keeper ad infinitum.

There are 2 reasons withhold information.

One is to not disclose sources and methods. That is legit. However it is not so legit in that the players are probably dead and beyond harm and the Russians Cubans probably know everything anyway due to espionage. Many of our spies have already been rounded up thanks to Aldrich Ames, Ana Montes and others. So much stuff from that era has been declassified like the Verona.

The other is to protect political personages and parties. That would be in the parties' interests and not the American people's interests.

You can argue it both ways as far as how important it is to get answers.

It is important to get the answers and let the fallout happen.

However, I think the political class uses it as a shiny object to distract the masses.
I mean look at the 5 living ex-presidents. Any of them have anything to do with Dallas? Doubtful.
