Reaction To Vice President Pence's Leaving Yesterday's NFL Game Conitnues

Politico: Trump says Pence’s trip to NFL game was ‘long planned’

President Donald Trump on Monday morning doubled down on Vice President Mike Pence's trip to the Indianapolis Colts game Sunday, saying it was "long planned."

"The trip by @VP Pence was long planned. He is receiving great praise for leaving game after the players showed such disrespect for country!" the president wrote on Twitter.

Pence left an Indianapolis Colts game on Sunday after several players on the opposing San Francisco 49ers team kneeled in protest during the national anthem.

"I left today's Colts game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our Flag, or our National Anthem," Pence wrote on Twitter on his official @VP account following his departure.

WNU Editor: The media and opponents to Trump are still having a meltdown from what Vice President Pence did yesterday .... calling this a stunt .... It’s not the cost of Pence’s trip that was galling. It was the preparation for it. (Washington Post). More here .... Donald Trump just used Mike Pence for a PR stunt (CNN). What's my take .... DUH!!!!! .... this is what push-back looks like. For those who love the NFL and who are seeing it under attack in the matter that it is .... this push-back is something that people are applauding. And while some players and many in the media are condemning VP Pence on what he did .... like I have said more than once .... no one has a monopoly on righteous anger and moral .... least of all players who earn tens of millions of dollars who feel that because they can play football elevates them to this "beyond-reproach" status. And as for those who oppose President Trump .... they still cannot accept the fact that when they push against him .... he pushes back .... something that even members of the Republican party still have trouble accepting .... Republican U.S. Senator Bob Corker Warned On Sunday Tthat President Trump is Putting The U.S. On A Path To World War Three.

The Mainstream Media (MSM) passed around a memo this morning. The key word to parrot was 'stunt'.

Maha Rushie once again showed what a bunch of good 'lil soldiers (eichmans) the MSM were in parroting the party line with one of his famous collages.

Rush also said some things of note.
1) Harvey Weinstein will not only survive but will be rehabilitated.
2) The casting couch is not jeopardy much to the delight of Hollywood movers and shakers.
3) VP Pence is still being lampooned for not going out to dinner with a woman, who is not his wife. Meanwhile the fallout continues. The Daily Mail is replete with stories of bad media execs and producers, who are liberal.

This is all happening because of Trump.

This is just part of the liberal culture wars and the liberals would have won this round by now except that Trump pushes back.

Maybe Weinstein was sacrificed to create a diversion for the Left on the football thing & statue. The Grey Lady (should be the Painted Lady) sat on the story for 13 years. That is over 1/2a generation. Agenda much?

"The Wrap founder Sharon Waxman says Damon and Crowe called her in 2004 to stop a negative story about Weinstein"

Many if not most conservatives hate the hypocrite Matt Damon (a.k.a. Opie). So the above linked article is not a shock, when it comes to 'Daaaaaaaaaaaaa-mon' as the late Jerry Doyle would say it.

But Russell Crowe being involved hurts. Good thing I have not bought a copy of 'Gladiator'. It was a neat film if totally and completely historically inaccurate.

Oh well, the culture wars will continue.

AS
All the deflection in the world will not cause a decent reader to wonder why you are unwilling, unable, to stay with the topic. Pence spent a lot of tax money to fly to a game his boss told him to attend and he walked out, as scheduled, when players took to the knee. This staged Trump carnival is a laughing piece of junior league carnival, and so of course you have to move to another item or items to try to kid the reader into ignoring the issue.
The sad thing? YOU DO THIS CONSISTENTLY WHEN YOU ARE NOT ALSO BUSY INSULTING PEOPLE.
ADVICE:
1. GROW UP
2. LEARN MANNERS
3. CHECK YOUR HATE AND VENOM
4. SEE IF YOU CAN MAKE A FULL COMMENT WITHOUT INSULTS, DEFLECTION, OR NASTINESS
5. AH, AND THEN THERE IS THIS: YOU ARE TEDIOUS AND BORING AND TRY TO HIDE THAT FACT WITH WHAT YOU DIG UP, COPY/PASTE, VIA WIKI AND GOOGLE

The Weinstein story could most definitely be about the football, the flag, the anthem, the statues all the rest of the culture war stuff we are having.

Rush admitted today that he was uncertain about why The Painted Lady, The NYT, sat on the story for 13 years (or more).

People are speculating that it was done because the Democrats may not make book on the NFL controversy and so need a distraction. <- That is a true statement.

So it is germane and not a deflection.

My initial theory was the NYT did not want to get scooped like Newsweek got scooped by Matt Drudge about the semen stained blue dress.

I am very upset that I did not think of the NFL deflection angle. Maybe it is because I did not think Democrats could be that bad. Meanwhile, you are showing your dyed-in-the-wool nature with your ankle biting.

P.S.
- Is reporting on what Sharon Waxman said poor manners?
- Are you going to email her and scold her about manners too?

Inquiring minds want to know.

"Vice President Mike Pence turned the anthem into a prop Sunday, co-opting it for a stunt that served no other purpose than to sow division, further enrage the administration’s conservative base and try to cow NFL owners. That it likely deflected attention from yet more neo-Nazi protests in Charlottesville was all the better."

That was an expensive dinner date and Obama may have given many people heart attacks to boot.

So Obama can go out on a dinner date, but Pence cannot go to a football game.

On your second point. There is push back on culture wars. If you do not like it you can get more shrill. I am sure George Soros would pay you to protest on November 4th.

Do not take anything less than $15 an hour. George is good for it.

What some wags may be incapable of comprehending or dishonest enough not to admit is that for most presidents vacations are working vacations.

Trump golfed with Lindsey Grahmnesty. Now that is work. He could have been golfing with someone better.
