Washington Examiner: Fox and ESPN won't air national anthem live during this weekend's NFL games
Fox and ESPN do not plan to air the national anthem live during this weekend's and Monday night's games.
The networks don't usually air the pre-game ritual live except during major events, but began showing it after President Trump lashed out against players who took a knee during the national anthem to protest police brutality, CNN reported.
Networks did not broadcast the anthem last week, but Vice President Mike Pence pushed the controversy back into the forefront when he left the Indianapolis Colts-San Francisco 49ers game Sunday when several 49ers kneeled during the anthem.

WNU Editor: The NFL owners are still siding with the players .... NFL anthem protests: No major policy changes expected at owner's meeting (CBS). The ban on televising the national anthem is going to backfire .... social media will amplify and inform NFL fans on what is happening at these games. Those who vowed that they would quit if they were told to stand-up at these games are back-tracing on their threats (no surprise to me) .... Rishard Matthews apologizes for tweet, calling threat to quit a “bad decision” (Yahoo News/NBC). This is why NFL cheerleaders are not protesting .... NFLers are Protesting During the National Anthem. Here’s Why Cheerleaders Aren’t. (NBC).

Something like 2/3rds of NFL players have arrests.
That is not convictions, but consider they have money and fame, which might buy them out of a trial.
"Study: NFL arrest rate lower than for all males ages 20-39" - CNN
So the press has asked why 'once'. They broke it down by age cohort, proved the point they wanted top prove and moved on.
They 'normalized' arrest by age cohort basically. They did not normalize the data by income level. Why not?
What is the arrest rate for men 20-39 years of age, with college degrees and high incomes?
It would really be nice to see a trend chart for viewership in some of these news stories.
"Reading Something in the N.F.L. Ratings? You’re Probably Wrong" - NYT
To get that by Nielsen rating or other groups you would have to pay. Most people do not have that money, but companies like the NYT do. They are awfully stingy in their use of infographics.
Now Mr. Draper may have a point. Even if he is wrong you have to go to great lengths to check it out.
Then we have some really BS reasons given
"NFL ratings 2017: Decline due to quality, hurricanes" - Sports Illustrated.
Really?
One things that does not lie is if the NFL has to pay advertisers back if they do not make the numbers, the stands are not full, etc.

I hope the whole league goes bancrupt.
"Why Did the Weinstein Scandal Happen Now?"

Perhaps the Harvey Weinstein Scandal has nothing to do with the NFL Scandal.
Some people just do not like the book tour and do not want to see a zombie resuscitated.
So one has to question the sincerity of people being pro-woman, when they withhold a huge story on sexual harassment for decades. They only release the story not to benefit women in the workplace, but their political faction.
quantity drives out quality. In this instance, much quantity and no quality
Fred,
You could not refute one point.
P.S. Why do you only post women derived from the yamnaya?
I don't understand the connection between the National Anthem and police do they want the national guard federalized and military police to be everywhere instead? They should focus on there states an communities where your civil servants are hired and regulated by the state, cities, townships, counties, ect.
The petulant mentality that has infected the NFL starts early on. You see disrespect at the high school level too. Not necessarily "kneeling", but other disrespectful antics - like practicing kickoffs while the home team's marching band is doing their field show. No way the visiting team does that without the encouragement of the coaches. Poor sportsmanship is bred early on and it's the asinine behavior and non-leadership of THE COACHES that gets the crap snowball rolling downhill.
And now we have infantile thugs taking a squat during the national anthem.

Aisino, what percentage of members of Congress should be arrested? 90%.
Seal response?
It will be interesting to see if the protest can grow outside of sporting events.
Imagine a protest resplendent with star spangled banners and the anthem being played, loudly, with all the BLM folk taking a knee in front of the charging police line.
From that point on the flag and anthem, where ever displayed and played even at the White House, would evoke in the minds of everyone present the image of the BLM crowd taking a knee in protest in the face of the police charging them.
It would be a fantastic opportunity to create a strong PR image and show the police up for what they are.
" like practicing kickoffs while the home team's marching band is doing their field show. No way the visiting team does that without the encouragement of the coaches"
News to me. I'll be on the watch for it now.
I just remember the university team standing in the courtyard of a dorm complex of a few thousand students yelling at 5 AM to show team spirit, to harass non-jocks, or something.
They were a team with a losing f___ing record. The team building of exercise of waking students up, who may have studied real course until 1 AM and who did not take 'football' foo-foo courses, did not help the losers football record.
The school newspaper reported on it extensively and ... nothing.
While I do like football, there are a lot of athletes I detest. If they end up in the poor house, I'll cry crocodile tears.
I have a question is a person more dedicated if they stay up to study burning the mid night oil or if they wake up before the crack of dawn? Or is it 6 of 1 or 1/2 dozen of the other?

Start with Debbie Wasserman Shultz for aid and abetting or just being a dumb ____. Move on to Xavier Becerra. Arrest 40 or 50 more Democrats. Keep going.
Also arrest Maxine Waters. She does not live in her district.
Then we can start on the RINOs. Cantor comes to mind.
But anyone to your use of logic Bob Huntly. what is your point. He cannot arrest NFL players for breaking the law unless we arrest someone else 21st? That is quite the legal principle there Huntly.
