Reuters: U.S. lawmakers ask Trump to 'get to work' on Puerto Rico
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (Reuters) - U.S. lawmakers urged President Donald Trump on Sunday to stop sniping at Puerto Ricans and get to work helping them recover from a devastating hurricane, two days before he was to visit the island, where people remained without food, water or power.
The Republican president said his government was doing a “great job” to help Puerto Rico recover from Hurricane Maria and took a new swipe at critics who said he had been slow to aid the island, where the power grid was destroyed 12 days ago.
“We have done a great job with the almost impossible situation in Puerto Rico. Outside of the Fake News or politically motivated ingrates,” he said in a Twitter post.

.... Puerto Rico has been dodging big hurricanes for 80 years, in 1899 they had a Cat 4, 1928 Cat 5, and 1932 Cat 4. This is their wake up call, time to do things differently, build better, and have a better organized response in place, because whether it's in 2 years or 100 years they will get hit again by a big hurricane.
Yup .... Puerto Rico .... in order to prosper in the future .... has to change.

Here is some data. Not all the data is in a relator format. That is in ratios. The data on the power restored to hospitals is not in a relator format. So we do not know the total number of hospitals or the number of hospitals that needed power restored.
On one hand efforts to restore the power grid lack detail. On the other hand the information on potable water and gas stations operational is very informative. Knowing how many hospitals, gas stations and grocery stores have their doors open gives you a back door way of figuring out how much of the electricity has been restored

- Urban Search and Rescue teams, working alongside local law enforcement, covered 100 percent of Puerto Rico and rescued 843 individuals.
- Power was restored to 59 hospitals in Puerto Rico -- these hospitals are operationally able to care for the patients they have or are receiving new patients.
- Efforts to restore the power grid on the island are on-going among the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Department of Energy, and the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority.
- Drinking water is being restored; 45 percent of customers now have potable water following testing by the Environmental Protection Agency and local officials.
- Stores are opening with more than 60 percent of gas stations operating and providing fuel, and 49 percent of grocery and big box stores on the island now open.

The San Juan mayor was so worried about people dying that she had a ball cap printed up with the letters SOS. She also had a t-shirt printed, People are dying.
She had time to do that instead of her duties. This is on film. It will be played before, during, and after the Democrat National convention.
All the sordid mayor was standing in front of pallets of relief supplies, such a water. She was filmed, soo she will not live it down.
Also Trump dispatched a hospital ship. If a hospital is down in an area, people can be helicoptered to the ship. There are 2 such ships. One is east coast and one is west coast. Apparently the idiot mayor is so blinded by camera lights she cannot see the ship sitting in the harbor.
