Turkish-Backed Syrian Rebels Have Launched A Major Offensive On Idlib Province

VOA: Turkish President Announces Start of Military Operation in Syria

ISTANBUL — Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has announced the start of Turkish military operation into Syria's Idlib province.

"There is a serious operation in Idlib at the moment, and this will continue," Erdogan announced in a speech Saturday to his party members.

The military offensive is aimed at ending the jihadist control of the Idlib area. Much of Idlib is controlled by the jihadist Tahrir al-Sham alliance, which is made up of large elements of a former al-Qaida affiliate that changed its name last year from the al-Nusra Front.

"We have to help our brothers who arrived in Idlib after fleeing Aleppo. The necessary step was taken, and it is ongoing," Erdogan said. "The FSA [Free Syrian Army] is currently carrying out the operation, and our soldiers are not there."

Assad is winning.

If Assad continues to get back by Russia, he will win back Idlib, so why is Erdogan doing this?

‘Sonic Attack’ on Diplomats in Cuba? These Scientists Doubt It

I do not think you can get the Trump Team, the Obama team and Swampy Bottom people on the same sheet of music to lie about this.

At any rate here is something to think about.

"why cite the paper that among others youelsewhere scorn? "

The NYT does not always lie.

The WSJ does not always tell the truth.

That said the WSJ has a much better track record than the NYT.

One has to look at the topic, the author, and the article.

Take Wikipedia for example. Some articles you can get good information. Other articles you have to very, very wary about agitprop.

Either you don't know this or you coyly pretend not to know this. Either one cast you in a BAD LIGHT.

Also, I did not give the article by full endorsement. All I said was:

"At any rate here is something to think about. "

Did you know read those words?

Sometimes I like to go on walkabout and see what I can see. Unlike you, I do not have an echo chamber existence.
