The difference between Republican and Democrats is that Republicans call out their bad apples.
Democrats keep them on board forever or until they stop winning elections. Even then they do not call them out on their crap. The drop stories on them in the NYT or WaPo and try to get rid of them on the sly like in the book 1984 or in the USSR.
