U.S. Conducts B-2 Exercises In Asia

Japan Times: U.S. sends nuclear-capable B-2 stealth bomber on mission in Pacific ahead of Trump visit to Asia

The U.S. military sent a nuclear-capable B-2 stealth bomber from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri on a long-range mission to the Pacific area of operations over the weekend, it said Sunday, a day after Pentagon chief Jim Mattis highlighted rival North Korea’s “accelerating” atomic weapons program during a visit to South Korea.

The U.S. military’s Strategic Command said in a statement that the type of long-range mission conducted was to “familiarize aircrew with air bases and operations in different geographic combatant commands, enabling them to maintain a high state of readiness and proficiency.”

WNU Editor: Just for everyone's info. One of the metrics that countries use (including myself) in determining if the U.S. is going to launch a military strike is if they deploy a minimum of three aircraft carriers in a region, buildup up ammunition stockpiles, deploy additional ground forces, and deploy B-2 bombers. In the past few weeks 3 of these 4 conditions have been met in regards to North Korea. The deployment of 3 aircraft carriers .... There are Currently Two Aircraft Carriers Near North Korea Soon To Be Joined By A Third One. This Is What They Bring (October 28, 2017). Building up military stockpiles .... This Is Why Guam Is In North Korea's Cross-Hairs (October 25, 2017). The deployment of B-2 bombers (albeit through military exercises) .... read the above post. What has not happened is the deployment of thousands of additional U.S. soldiers nor the call-up of reserves.

Maybe someone else does the mopping up on the ground? Maybe the US wants to make this precision bombing and then not send wrong signals to a third party (China), who made it clear they'll come to the help of North Korea - as they have over the last half century..something that the world really should understand and come to terms with

Also look for an exodus of US mil dependents. If they start to leave in large numbers, its another sign of impending action.

The u.s may well be planning for surgical strikes, with no intention of moving past the dmz.hence sth Korean and u.s troop numbers are more than adequate

This air aircraft is a prerequisite for a campaign.
