CNN: N. Korea accuses US of 'nuclear strike drill' after bomber flights

Washington (CNN)US Air Force B-1 bombers, accompanied by fighter jets from South Korea and Japan, conducted a flyover near the Korean peninsula on Thursday, according to a statement from the service -- a move that has drawn harsh criticism from North Korea ahead of President Donald Trump's trip to the region.

Two B-1B Lancers from Anderson Air Force Base in Guam rendezvoused with the Japanese and South Korean jets as part of the planned "bilateral integration" exercise -- at one point flying over South Korea.

The "continuous bomber presence mission" was planned in advance and was "not in response to any current event," according to Air Force spokesperson Capt. Candice Dillitte.

Well booooohhoo what did they expect? First they threaten nuclear war on the US and even go out of their way to broadcast videos of US cities engulfed in nuclear flames and now they are upset that there's gonna be consequences lol
More b1b flights, please ;)

Exactly, of fly as close to the border as humanely possible whilst making sure my co coordinates were tracked for all to see.
Please fire on the b1 in international airspace.

Fazman while I appreciate your badassery and I know you know this could mean a retaliation cascade and potentially war, I'm not in agreement that we should wish for that, neither for the north Koreans nor us. While I don't think that necessarily millions would die, it could very well be thousands and there is a real and growing chance it could -actually- be in the millions. That chance is not as little or big as we might think individually, but given the reports on icbm defence performances, I would not bet on this outcome as a desired path forward. And those projections don't even include a potential escalation if China were to enter the conflict - as they warned they might do and as they have done before during the what might soon be called "first" Korean war. So if our lack in reliable icbm defence is accurate, and I don't see any reason for it to not be, and if history teaches us anything, then we should press for a political solution as hard as we can because otherwise we might be forced to do a massive, all-in first strike that would be difficult to explain you the world and might cause the need for us to spread so much destruction as is necessary to avoid any chance for the enemy to strike back because that would mean nuclear war. So not only would we have to turn off all feelings and go from a cold war to an incredibly high level of hot overwhelming engagement, but depending on "how it goes", nuclear strikes with tactical ammunition to get the heavily defended launch sites might become a reality within minutes if not hours of conflict. And only if China will stay out, and everything were to go to plan (mind you the north Koreans are estimated to have up to 60 nuclear weapons by now and are trying to push for a triad as well - see recent theft of submarine secrets)... anyways you see my point? :)
