Resistance To The Mueller Investigation Is Growing

Politico: Mueller braces for challenges to his authority

The special counsel has won some early court victories in the Russia investigation, but with charges filed defense attorneys and others are lining up to rein in the probe.

Robert Mueller is on an early winning streak.

Stacked with some of the country’s premier prosecutors, the special counsel has beaten back a pair of preliminary attempts to block his subpoena power and limit who he can question as a potential witness. In July, Mueller’s team also managed to win approval to execute a no-knock search warrant—unusual in a white-collar case.

But as the criminal case against former Donald Trump campaign officials Paul Manafort and Rick Gates speeds toward a possible spring 2018 trial, Mueller’s team is bracing for an array of challenges to its authority.

The battle lines are already taking shape.

WNU Editor: Resistance against the special counsel is growing .... Conservatives introduce measure demanding Mueller’s resignation (Politico). More here .... "Hopelessly Compromised": Judiciary Member Calls For Mueller's Resignation Over Uranium One Scandal (Zero Hedge). This has certainly not helped .... FBI informant blocked from telling Congress about Russia nuclear corruption case, lawyer says (The Hill). As to what is my take on the future of Robert Mueller .... IMHO nothing is going to change. I think the investigation will proceed accordingly .... and I would not be surprised if the other indictments that the Special Counsel has will be used. My money is on Carter Page being the next one to be arrested .... NYT: Carter Page Appeared Before Grand Jury For Mueller Probe (TPM). There is some speculation that the Clinton Foundation is also being investigated .... Bret Baier: FBI Sources Believe Clinton Foundation Case Moving Towards "Likely an Indictment" (RCP). But I see this talk of a Hillary Clinton investigation as just talk .... probably leaked to give the impression that the Special counsel's investigation is non-partisan,  and that they are committed to investigating everyone.

Leaks are coming form within the Democrat Part establishment to cripple and put an end to Hillary's chances at another presidential run. That seems to be the take on the stories by The Painted Lady (i.e NYT, a former newspaper) and the WaPo.

The NYT & WaPo are part of the media wing or agitprop wing of the Democrat Party. they are house organs of the DNC.

I do not know why Hillary has not sunk yet except that all the polls that start coming out 2 years before a election have not started in earnest. So more dirt might come out until Hillary leaves the limelight. But that is an aside. The Dems are doing this because they believe Hillary is hurting other good comrades.

So let Mueller continue on. Some people should scream for his ouster, but not enough for him to actually be forced out by Republicans. Let Mueller hang on and further bring down the Democrats.

In the meantime appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Uranium One, Mueller, Comey, Eric Holder, Obama, and all the other thieves from casting central.

Let the Democrats be the ones to take out Mueller.

In the long run it will be more effective and more delicious.

We will cry real schadenfreude tears for Mueller.

WNU,
Special Counsel Mueller and his investigation has been a plus for Trump, and will continue to be so.

"Navy finds deep-rooted failures led to fatal collisions"

Very bland news article. Names are not needed; what is needed is op tempos, training exercises and similar things.

WSJ a fem spot?
How moronic a statement

correction: I meant that to call the WSJ a Democratic ally is just simply wrong. read the editorials. They are in sharp contrast to the news. There is in fact a minor war taking place between the people dealing with the news and what the editorials would like to say, believe, affirm.

Why not call thew WSJ a Democrat ally?

They are full of ... err J school grads.

Before long they will shade, twist and distort the truth as much the NYT, a former newspaper.

Even the editorials might slide soon.

Look at Bret Stephens. He use to be a good columnist. Now he has gone from the fields to the big house. David Brooks can retire now that the NYT has a new token, domesticated and neutered house Republican.

Minor War?

No, we have a bunch liberals graduates from Journalism school that don't know their ___ from a hole in the ground.

Here is an example.
