WNU Editor: What a wild morning. The first thing that I read this morning was this .... NBC Fires Matt Lauer for Sexual Misconduct, but the Worst Is Yet to Come (Daily Beast). And then I read this .... Democratic pressure mounts on Rep. John Conyers to resign (NBC). And now this is coming out (and I want names) .... Chairman details ‘hush fund’ Congress uses to shield harassment complaints (Washington Times). And we are only half-way through the day today.
I have mentioned a few times over the past few weeks that my gut was telling me that this was/is just the tip of the iceberg. Today .... this is no longer the tip that is showing .... we are now seeing the iceberg. And regardless if you are a powerful person or not .... this is just more proof that the culture in the U.S. has changed .... and you will be held accountable.
Hmmmm .... who is next?
Update #1: Wow .... this just in .... Garrison Keillor Accused Of 'Inappropriate Behavior,' Minnesota Public Radio Says (NPR). I know that most readers of this blog do not know Garrison Keillor, but I do because of another project. And like I said .... wow.

Update #4: The media .... for as long as I can remember .... always passed judgement on others .... and heaven helped those who had the courage to past judgement and make comments on who they are. Now .... for the first time in my life .... I am seeing the same treatment that they have always imposed on others being imposed on them .... and the results (just in the past few weeks) have been ugly. This first started this summer with the media's focus on FOX News will Bill O'Reilly and Roger Ailes .... and now it is boomeranging back on those who gleefully reported that scandal just a few months ago .... and it is quite a sight to see.

You see this as a sexual/firing match between the right and the left
I see it as Women No Longer taking abuse from men with wealth and power, and that goes for the right and the left, ie., candidate Moore, Pres. Trump (yes: 12 lawsuits) Lauer, Rose et al
What we are actually witnessing is a paradigm shift..the one big unsettled issue: Congress keeps slush fund of taxpayer money to pay off those complaining of sexual molestation, after of course they sign a non disclosure form. The problem with that? why not molest if you can bribe a victim and not be named and you do not pay out of your own pocket?
I guess this means Matt Lauer won't be replacing Alex Trebek on Jeopardy afterall.
Seriously, how much of this do you think is the result victims coming out against real abuse and how much of it is aimed at destroying apparently powerful people for other reasons? As we've seen with Bill Cosby, a man's career can be destroyed long before he gets a chance to actually defend himself. The one thing that would be worse than someone abusing his position of privilege and authority would be if he was falsely accused in the service of ulterior motives.
can you cite cases of people coming forth to destroy innocent people and then innocent people suing to prove they were innocent?
How many accusers against Cosby? Moore? etc why not sue for slander if innocent?
