South Korean Spy Agency Raises The Possibility Of Additional North Korean Nuclear And Missile Tests

South Korea's spy agency says that North Korea may conduct a missile test in the near future.

KBS: N. Korea Possibly Preparing New Missile, Nuclear Tests

The National Intelligence Service(NIS) raised the possibility on Thursday during a closed parliamentary audit, citing "active movement" of vehicles around the missile research facility in Pyongyang.

The NIS also said that the North is likely to begin reprocessing spent fuel rods at its main nuclear complex in Yongbyon late this year.

The spy agency reported that the North has yet to secure atmospheric reentry technology, a key element to complete its intercontinental ballistic missile(ICBM) program.

A lawmaker who attended the audit said that the NIS estimates North Korea is feeling pressure to conduct additional nuclear tests late this year or next year.
