Army Times: DoD accidentally retweets post calling for Trump to resign

WASHINGTON — The Defense Department accidentally retweeted a Twitter post calling for President Trump to resign from office.

“An authorized operator of the Department of Defense’s official Twitter site erroneously retweeted content that would not be endorsed by the Department of Defense,” Army Col. Robert Manning said in a statement to reporters. “The operator caught this error and immediately deleted it.”

Moore, the Republican nominee in Alabama for a U.S. Senate seat, is currently embroiled in a sex scandal involving allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault by several women, including one woman, Leigh Corfman, who was 14 at the time of the alleged incident. WNU Editor: How can someone erroneously retweet a comment? There are two unique steps that someone must go through in order to retweet another person's post. Bottom line .... this authorized operator of the Department of Defense’s official Twitter site decided to retweet the post, and then realized the consequences. But it was too late, and I am willing to bet that this person is no longer in this job.
