VOA: US Warns of Repercussions for Pakistan Over Release of Alleged Terror Mastermind

ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN — The United States warned Pakistan on Saturday that there would be “repercussions” in bilateral relations unless Islamabad immediately re-arrested and prosecuted an Islamist leader accused of masterminding the 2008 attacks in Mumbai, India.

As I said earlier this actually may help the US get him. The Pakistani government by the form of his release has removed their official responsibility for him that they had in his detention. Now they can say where he goes and does (or what his fate is) is not our concern.
